As you'd expect, content from Kobold Press is top notch. The genies here fit already into existing Forgotten Realms lore, it has wonderful artwork, and is fantastically produced.

Genies Great and Small introduces additional gen and genies for use in your Forgotten Realms campaign or the ability to drag and drop the powerful creatures into a setting of your choice with a little creative work.

Some of the strongest points of this work are the layout and the artwork; my eyes were drawn to every illustration and the text was highly readable, with clear call outs to points of emphasis and consideration.

There's a great balance of crunch'n'fluff throughout the book; by this I mean I am given flavor and reasons to introduce the gen and genies into a game as well as the proper mechanics to facilitate play.

The writing itself is particularly well done, by that I mean I am drawn into the world of the genies and carried through the volume.

I look forward to introducing both the flavor and the mechanics into an upcoming session.

I don't mind the advertisements towards the back, it reminds me that other products exist, and since it is PDF that is just bonus materials.

I love the variety of creatures in here! Another winner from Kobold Press. The classic Al-Qadim setting is so flavorful and thematic and these are wondefully inspired entities from the Land of Fate. Art from Karl Waller puts it over the top. My favorite part is the tasked genies, which is packed with tons of hooks and ideas for weaving genies into a campaign. In particular, the Conjuring Tasked Genies sidebar is an awesome way to make unique quest goals and magical treasure. Also since there are creatures across the spectrum of Challenge Rating, you can use the content throughout the course of a long campaign.

A fair amount of this product is advertising and art. I'd have wanted more detail and more bang for the buck. There isn't enough variet in the creatures imo and a lot seem to be just abilities from other creatures, like dragons and elementals, just thrown together.

This came at a perfect time as I'm looking to start an Al-Qadim 5e campaign. Another winner from Dan Dillon. I hope more Al-Qadim products are released.

A great update of some classic Al-Qadim creatures from 2E plus some brand new true genies and a template. I was immediately inspired to use these creatures in a 5E game as I read them. Well written and with the production values I've come to expect from a Kobold Press release.
