As a resource for publishers, it is priced higher than most other short PDF's, but I feel the extra money is worth it. "My Thoughts" is not a how to document, but exactly what the title is: Phil Reed's thoughts about short pdf's. He discusses how he approaches publishing them, and gives advice on pricing, marketing, and layouts.

As the description of the product says, it is being discontinued as of November 1st, so I would recommend to anyone interested in publishing pdf's, short or long, to pick up a copy of this before it's gone.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Very Satisfied
"My Thoughts on Writing and Publishing Short PDFs Comments" is an outstanding product filled with sound advice for any publisher who might be thinking about publishing short PDFs.

If you are a game publisher and have been thinking about creating short PDFs, I strongly suggest checking this product out first.

Kudos to Phillip Reed for a great, inexpensive product!

LIKED: Everything.

DISLIKED: There were a couple of typos, but it wasn't a HUGE deal.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This PDF is only four or five pages and costs $5, which is $1 per page...? At a dollar a page, the ideas need to be golden, but they aren't. The author really doesn't go into great depth or give any sales numbers or trade secrets, but I didn't expect this when I bought it. What I did expect were more concrete ideas or more detail advice than what I got, which is why the product is a disappointment for me.

Part of why I bought it was to prepare for an interview I did with Philip J. Reed. Overall, I give it a 2/5 because there are no real gems in it.

LIKED: One or two ideas.

DISLIKED: Too Short, not enough depth.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Ripped Off
A good product at a low cost. As a quick bump of inspiration combined with some useful advise this product is spot on.

LIKED: Short and well thought out, this document gets to the point quickly and clearly.

DISLIKED: More an inspirational piece than a howto, but then that's pretty much what I was looking for :)

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
These were some of the best $3.50 that I've ever spent. Though there are a lot of PDF publishers, Phil has taken it to an art form, or at the very least spent a lot of time thinking about it. This release is very candid, upfront, and short on pages but rich in ideas and good info. It proved to be the catalyst for my own move into publishing. Recommended for anyone interested in the subject of the PDF gaming industry, or contemplating doing this themselves.

Short and sweet. There's no much to this but what is provided is useful, well-written and to the point - recommended as a reference for any ePublisher or prospective ePublisher considering releasing short PDFs.

This is an interesting read for anyone looking to start selling short PDFs. It is however very short and contains only a short amount of details and information. However considering the fact that the short PDFs themselves are targeted, limited information, this is not out of place.
