Great adventure that included all the information I needed to run it. Nice plot line that gave lots of opppurtunity for role-play as well as a good dungeon crawl. I inserted it into an existing campaign, and my party had a blast. Their only complaint was that when I teleported them back to my world, I didn't let them bring their dinosuars back from Chult!

I've enjoyed most of this adventure, but I have some notes. I think the village part at the beginning needs clarification. Also, the motivation to go there is weird; and I don't know if the transfer to the temple is strong enough. The temple of the rising sun is a very good dungeon and fits the general theme of Chult dungeons. The final part, again, I have a problem with. I don't understand why it should be a bunch of random encounters; I can see why you don't want to draw the actual caves and stuff, but you can write a bunch of encounters in order, and just describe the walking and crawling between them.

I ran this at my local game store. Due to the time restrictions on the space available to us I had to try and fit it in a 4 hour window. This proved workable but required condensing the adventure, particularly the parts with rolls for encounters, but it would have been more enjoyable as a 6-8 adventure.

I thought the adventure itself was excellent from a story perspective and liked the amount of roleplay and skill based encounters it presented. On the other hand I found the combat itself a bit lackluster, largely due to combat encounters being built around combats with 1-2 powerful enemies rather than a slightly weaker main enemy and more but weaker minions. It may be a personal preference but I find the latter provides a more enjoyable combat experience due to the heavy impact of action economy in 5e. Happily, this is an easy fix for a DM to make themselves.

All said, this is an excellent adventure and I highly recommend running it, especially if you have players already doing Tomb of Annihilation.

I ran this at our Extra Life event on 11-4. For the group, it took roughly 8 hours and was an enjoyable experience. I had a table where half were DMs and they were glad this came out as they hadn't looked at this yet, leaving them with some surprise. It was dangerous without needing to adjust even with the party average being on the high end of the tier 2 spectrum. I am quite glad I ran it and plan to do so again to make it a staple for my ToA campaign.
