[Spycraft] Strike Force 7
Publisher: Super Genius Games
by Shawn C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/03/2006 00:00:00

I purchased this book with the intention of running a faux G.I.Joe game that would turn into a Resident Evil scenario. Strike Force 7 was perfect for what I needed. The background for the team and their enemies, the nefarious Skorpion, was so interesting that it seems my one-shot game is going to turn into at least a brief campaign. This was an excellent purchase, especially considering that at the time it was on sale for a mere $1.99.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
An excellent resource. I purchased it some time ago and not only have I gotten a lot of use out of it, but Ronin Arts updated it to Second Edition so that I can continue to use it with the new M&M rules.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Superline #2: Reel Life

The second issue of Superline maintains the high standard of quality established by the first issue. The three adventures are all entertaining and appropriate to both the genre and the issue's theme. The artwork, while perhaps not of a quality one might expect in a comic book, is nevertheless far better than even many print products on the market today. Constant suggestions throughout the file offer the opportunity to modify the adventures for existing campaigns, and there's just enough continuity between Issue #1 and #2 to suggest that the Superline series could serve as a campaign setting in and of itself.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Superline #3: Blast from the Past
Publisher: Ronin Arts
by Shawn C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 12/15/2005 00:00:00

Superline Issue #3 continues to offer the high quality resources that any GM planning on running Mutants & Masterminds can benefit from. Admittedly, a few of this issue's offerings were a bit less useful to me personally than previous issues (I thought that the adventure "Eye Robot" was fun, if a bit pedestrian, and the article "The Significance of High Ability Scores" didn't tell me much I didn't already know), the column from M&M developer Steve Kenson and the -excellent- adventure "That Old Black Magic" easily elevate this issue to the finest of an already outstanding series. If you are a fan of M&M, why aren't you reading Superline?

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Superline #4: Hell's Belles
Publisher: Ronin Arts
by Shawn C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 12/15/2005 00:00:00

I just picked up Superline #4 yesterday (using a nifty coupon I earned by purchasing Issue #3!), and so far I'm pretty happy! The sultry cover art is a bit weird, honestly, but the contents are just as good as ever. The adventure advertised on the cover (as well as a... centerfold?) is pretty straightforward, but accomplishes what it needs. The article by Steve Kenson has an excellent preview of next year's Mastermind Manual, the new features regarding Headquarters and Vehicles are outstanding. A second adventure, Crisis on the High Seas, is much more to my liking than Hell's Belles, and I hope to include it in a campaign in the very near future. The artwork is back with a vengeance in Issue #4, the best I've seen from the series since Issue #1, and this time in full color.

I am a Superline fan for life, I think.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
OMNI-Database 3: Project Mindwar
Publisher: Brain Jar Press

I picked up Project: Mindwar on a lark, needing to pad out an order to get a nice round number on my credit card (don't ask!). I'm quite glad I did, though, because the concept behind it is very interesting, and the villains are of great interest to me. The wanted posters at the end are my favorite feature, and I plan to use them as soon as possible. The free Second Edition upgrade to this product has only increased my regard for it, and I think I will be checking out more Clockwork Golem Workshop Superlink offerings in the future.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Superline: Campaign Planner (M&M Superlink)
Publisher: Ronin Arts
by Shawn C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 12/15/2005 00:00:00

While I have purchased and enjoyed Campaign Planner tremendously, I have used it more as a design document for a campaign setting rather than for a specific campaign. As such, there are several pages I have not used, but I think that's the real beauty of this product: virtually everything you need is here, and you can pick and choose which pages you print out to suit the needs of whatever project you're working on. This is easily the most utilitarian product I've ever purchased on RPGNow.com.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Superline: Campaign Planner 2 (M&M Superlink)
Publisher: Ronin Arts
by Shawn C. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 12/15/2005 00:00:00

If Ronin Arts' first Campaign Planner had everything a GM needs to plot a campaign or a campaign setting, then surely the Campaign Planner 2 has everything that a GM didn't know he needed, but surely can't do without. I have enjoyed using this product tremendously in my design work on my own campaign setting. The pages are well organized and efficiently laid out, and can inspire creativity by taking the imagination in directions that were not previously considered. An outstanding piece of work.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
