This is an excellent collection of races, drawn from a vast array of previous products and masterfully brought in line with 5th edition mechanics. As a DM I would absolutely allow these races in my campaign, and as a player, I find many appealing. As a fellow designer, I must also say: hats off on the Bauriar/Centaur design! EXCELLENT WORK!
I highly recommend this product. WELL worth the suggested price!

This is a brilliant adventure. The hooks are relatively straightforward, but presented in a fashion that would be easy enough to customize to any PC party to generate personal investment in seeing the story through. The design is elegant, fun, and contains a number of familiar wizard tower tropes presented in refreshing ways. There is sufficient NPC intrigue to allow the more political-minded players to garner enjoyment at various stages of the game. The opposition, while challenging, is not insurmountable. Once the adventure is complete, a number of potential aftermah scenarios are presented, giving the DM some guidance in terms of where the campaign might go from here.
In addition to the campaign itself, The Gleaming Cloud Citadel contains a number of new spells that are well designed, interesting, and add a new layer of utility to arcane magic without stepping outside of the narrative role of such spells, or becoming grossly overpowered.
I cannot recommend this HIGHLY enough. One of the finest adventures on the Guild!

This collection of resources provides a beautiful, dark, and twisted setting for a Ravenloft campaign. In terms of mood, theme, and feel, the City of Eyes makes for a Domain of Dread that rivals Barovia itself! The additional races, backgrounds, items, and creatures introduced herein are exquisite and bear the perfect flavor of desperate, lovecraftian horror.
The story is well crafted, and instills a sense of mounting desperation in the players with the inclusion of a rather brilliant ticking clock mechanic. For the amount of content included, the price point cannot be beat.
The only negative note I have is that the latter half of the material needs some proofreading attention. I suspect that this is due to the product undergoing serialized updates over time, and that the creator will be correcting the issues soon, but as of this writing there is much to be done. These typos stand out as a rather unfortunate blemish on an otherwise beautiful work of wordsmithing.
Despite those issues, I HIGHLY recommend The City of Eyes if you love horror and desperation.

Assault on Hellmaw Island is a wonderful snatch and grab adventure, presented with a number of unique elements that truly set it apart from standard dungeon crawl fare. As is the mark of any great adventure, the elements you encounter along the way are incredibly engaging. This adventure masterfully weaves together all three pillars of the D&D experience for a truly enjoyable story! The cartography is top notch, and the mechanics are structured to accomodate players across the APL for the second tier of play.
Assault on Hellmaw Island meets and exceeds the expectations I have come to associate with a product bearing the name of M.T. Black. BRAVO! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

King to an Empty City has a very cool and creepy premise. A DM of any experience level should have no problem pulling a solid horror experience from the material. The NPCs presented herein are interesting, developed, and clearly motivated. The included maps are simple, but solid, providing excellent utility for DMs and players.
The latest update of the product addressed most of the editing issues I described in my earlier review, but the magic item "Life Drain" is still missing a recharge condition.
Having said that, as this stands it is a very good story. It is well worth the cover price.

I enjoyed this class very much and find it well thought out, flavorful, and unique in its approach.
Having seen the new update of this class, I have updated my review to 5 stars. I absolutely love this class and I think it fills in the Intelligence-based Martial Half-caster gap in a much better way than the Eldritch Knight, giving a truly standalone option for this type of character. I HIGHLY recommend picking it up if you have not yet done so.

The Witch Hunter class is a lovely martial class with a touch of rogue thrown in. The class is well-written and most of the features are very cool and flavorful. After sharing some design thoughts with the creator and seeing what was done with the feedback, I happily give this product 5 stars.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Thanks for the review! Could you maybe note which abilities you are concerned with specifically so I can review those? |
|
 |
Thank you for bringing these abilities to my attention.
-Magic Resistance has been edited to be less powerful at 6th level
-Spell Turner now has limited uses
-Arcane Thief can no longer use the spell as a reaction
-Mage Hunter remains the same. While it will be a powerful ability at 1st level, it becomes less and less significant when compared to things like sneak attack damage or colossus slayer. In addition, it is limited on what foes it can be used on.
Your insight is appreciated and has helped in making this class a better version. |

This is a fantastic, fun adventure and was a true delight to read! The events are presented in such a fashion that the tone can easily range from a lighthearted fun-filled comic session, to a dark tragedy with horror elements. The encounters are challenging, but balanced and each presents an opportunity for thinking outside the box rather than straightforward dungeon crawling hack and slash. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This suppleent contains a number of creative, compelling, and outright hilarious magic items. Some of the items wold fit just fine in any style of campaign play, while more than a few fall into the "downright silly" category, though even those items retain desirable utility. Personally, I am a huge fan of gonzo in my D&D, and many of these items are evocative of the spirit and form, if not function, of the Common Magic Items listed in Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
There are a few items that could use a little clarification, and one or two typos (though nothing that should impact the utlility of this product at the table.) Beyond that, it is everything you could ask for from an eclectic collection of magic items. Bravo!
Pick it up! Well worth the suggested price!

This module is a collection of events surrounding the town of Hayton, which has come under the control of an evil sorceress. The players are tasked with freeing the town from this evil spellcaster's grasp. One of the bright points of this adventure is the task-based layout of events, which build to the goal of weakening the evil sorceress before a final battle. It's a nice design touch.
Unfortunately, the book is badly in need of an edit. There are typos, omitted words and punctuation, unexplained gender changes of characters, and numerous inconsistencies that make the module all but impossible to follow. It's a shame, because there are some neat and innovative ideas contained here. Sadly, the low quality of the work overshadows the interesting bits.
I hope to see an update with a strong re-working of the material. There are seeds of an amazing story here.

Hello Travis,
I have finally edited the adventure. I would like to thank you for your honest criticism, I have used it to try and improve the adventure.
Would you be so kind to re-evaluate the product and see if it is better now?
I would love to be able to deliver a good adventure.
Greetings

I picked up the Dark Tower deluxe in the hopes of getting a cool resource to use as a megadungeon, or something I could pull random flavor from to populate locations in a pinch. Unfortunately I have found that the stat blocks provided in many rooms are pretty far from the monsters they claim to represent.
I think from an idea standpoint, it's a solid product (and if you are just looking for room names or locations to spark your memory, it's chock full of those) unfortunately its utility for a Dungeon Master is severely limited. Using most of the included stats would require a significant effort from the Dungeon Master hoping to draw from this product.

If you are looking for a science fiction/science fantasy flavor for your D&D campaign, you are unlikely to find much better than Alien Influence. The included Otherworldly Patron is a brilliant twist on the concept of the Warlock, remaining within the confines of established system while supplying pure sci-fi flavor.
The included technology and supplemental Radiation and Zero Gravity rules are well-thought out and sensible. A wonderful effort! Doss the creators a few coins and take your campaign to the stars!

The Discarded Gem is a linear adventure designed for Tier 1 play. The book begins with an introduction to the land of Halruaa, some historical knowledge about the area and the Spellplague, and a few possible seeds to introduce the party to the events of the adventure. From there, the adventure takes a relatively linear and straightforward path, with a number of suggested redirects if the players begin to travel too far afield when pursuing the story's goals.
I enjoyed reading the Discarded Gem, and I think the story is rather interesting. My only complaints or concerns about the book are a few minor formatting issues, that I believe could be cleaned up easily enough with a quick layout pass, and the fact that some DMs or groups may find the adventure to be a bit too linear. Personally, I felt that the redirects and story bumpers placed throughout to keep the plot moving forward were effective and reasonable, not presented in an off putting, heavy handed fashion, and utterly workable. I also think that the direct sequence of events would lend itself well to being a valuable resource for a first time DM seeking to ger a grasp on not only the system, but the basics of managing and running an adventure.
All told, I recommend it! Pick up YOUR copy TODAY!

Goblet of Fireflies is an extremely well-written adventure with unique and interesting lore and mechanics that truly set it apart from your standard dungeon crawl fare. Geared to Tier II adventurers, the module is presented with easy to follow instructions for scaling the encounters to match a party's level. The magic items contained herein are fun and the maps are great!
There are a few areas that could use a bit of attention in terms of clarity (particularly in the Ballad of Light section) but a DM with basic knowledge of the rules could certainly patch any gaps in understanding on their own.
Overall, I highly recommend The Goblet of Fireflies and cannot wait to run it myself!

I greatly enjoyed the Battlefield Crafter. It is well written, clear in communicating ideas, and filled with some nifty seeds to enrich battlefield design, without coming off like a boring list of tables or options. Having said that, I did find myself wanting a bit more in the tables and options department. This product definitely left me wanting more, but feeling like I hadn't gotten quite enough to go make more on my own. I would love to see the ideas presented herein expanded upon a bit more, as I think this is fertile ground for innovation.
Pick this up, and toss some jink in the tip jar!
