I give this modulemodulemodule module five stars for being utterly inspired, but had to knock it down for a few execution problems. it's so good, I'm tempted to submit the few Corrections it needs to be worthy of a five-star rating. more on that in a second. I ended up blowing the map up to twice its original size, which worked pretty well. it took me about 4 hours to cut everything out and Assemble it, and it would be way faster to if you have a machine of any kind that can laser cut cardboard or foam core or anything like that. cutting on the curves is what took forever but it is Central to the function of the maze. of course my model building skills are Rusty so the edges were pretty rough and the thing did not turn smoothly. it made me want to build this maze in the computer and 3D print the whole thing, it's that cool, it would be worth it. couple Corrections on the map itself, would be better if the map was offered as one single cheat that was not already cut up into four images. also, the instructions for assembling it left me scratching my head a bit, I couldn't envision how it would function as a final product. so I adapted things a bit. another thing, the module text has map has lettered items marked on them, but those letters do not correspond at all to the lettered items in the module text, which was confusing when I was trying to run it. and now a few notes about my group's particular playthrough, I adapted this to because they are level 12. this was a maze they were thrown into by the lady of pain in sigil. and may I say that her mazes are so legendary, this was the first one I came across that I felt was worthy of being used for such a thing. anyway, of course I changed the creatures that came out of the portals. I made them dark versions of the players themselves, rolling a D6 to see who jumped out and attacked them. to my great surprise, one of my players jumped into a portal. this was fantastic, I rolled to see which of the other dark portals they emerged at. a couple of them ended up fighting themselves all they were scattered across the maze, it was total bedlam and they all had a great time. I set the timer for 5 minutes, and the real time threat of the landscape changing definitely lit a fire under them. instead of getting the keys properly, they dimension door into the room with the big bad guy and Misty stepped. I Ruled that it works. I changed the BBEG to a disgusting sibriex and the players were super grossed out, it was perfect. now they used up all their spells and can't get out of the room and are making con saves against poison damage every round till they figure it out, can't wait for next session to see if they make it out alive!
