A smashing success of intuitive and vibrant subclasses by one of the best creators on DMsGuild. You should absolutely download this and then come back and tip the author some $ after you've read and enjoyed it yourself.

The creativity and attention to detail that went into this already makes it must have companion to your MM and to top it all off the stat blocks are balanced and bring new features to the table.
This is one of those ideas that creators would slap their forehead and wonder why they didn't think of it first. While some products have offered variations on known monsters before, this perfects that model with expansive worldbuilding while taking very logical steps both up and down in power from the standard blocks.
A particular favorite of mine was the section on Giants where the variations gave such wonderful depth to the Giant culture and made them feel like NPCs waiting to happen rather than just another encounter.
Another really smart detail is how the author tied some monsters to deities they would honor. This is another factor that made me excited at the prospect of building encounters with these creatures that already have built in motives and backstory.
I am focusing quite a bit on the narrative of this piece because while stat blocks can be tackled and balanced through playtesting, the story-driven work that went into this is what makes for an immersive experience at the table. You should buy this book and watch your player's jaws drop when monsters they thought they knew prove capable of so much more.

What an impressive feat of world building and writing this book is. The authors outlined every detail required to build, maintain and fully immerse yourself in the "giant robot" genre for 5e. Player options (subclasses) are very well balanced and provide intriguing options for any game regardless of if you plan to include the Atum.

There can never be enough backgrounds. The background is more important to a character than race or class as it establishes the foundation of what a character really is. James offers fresh and fun ideas for building your character with these backgrounds. Add this to your library.

This could have been so overpowered but the creator did a great job keeping it well within the normal scope of 5e race building. Another excellent concept that will certainly satisfy the player that loves Dr. Who, Quantum Leap or even just the Time Mage class from final fantasty tactics.

The sheer fact that the author acknowledged the value of more uncommon swords deserves applause. While very rare and legendary weapons have their draw, giving a low/mid level adventurer a weapon with more character is incredibly satisfying.

This is my favorite take on the Summoner class on this site. The author has done an excellent job balancing what could be a dangerously overpowered class while also giving the player customization options and a proper role in the party.

Thank you so much for the positivity! It was hard trying to get the balance just right, and I'm always looking for new ways to improve, but thank you so much for your review!! |

This is well worth the price of admission. The authors took time to create inspired races and subclasses that actually feel like they belong in the category of construct. Constructs are also an area of D&D 5e that should be explored in greater detail so I applaud the creators for heading down this path.

Hands down one of the best player race option products on this market. Tyler Kamstra went to great lengths to make every single race in the monster manual feel like its encounter counterpart and put alot of thought into unique ways to make this playable.

A nice little bestiary of fey creatures that are well balanced and creative. You can never really have enough fey creatures in my opinion, because they're magic and magic is not finite, ya dangus.

These were much needed for me as I've always felt standard Crit and Fail rules weren't juicy enough. Can't believe it's free, you should definitely download now and bring some memorable moments to all those 20s and 1s.

Super creative and well executed! These undead races are rich in flavor and some even come along with racial feats. Having spent time looking on DMsGuild for undead player content, I can safely say this is the best option available for players.

Hands down - no - Fists, Elbows, Knees and Sweet Roundhouses down this is my favorite supplement for Monks. All of these subclasses are inspired and nicely balanced. The lore and reasoning behind them feels real and some teachings even reference each other. These temples would find a perfect place in any game as a way to introduce players to new styles of combat.

This is an excellent resource for players and DMs alike. Using one of the coolest enemies in 5e, the authors give new options for incorporating Hags into your game and making them feel like a real part of the story with player impact and ways to create a heirarchy of the most evil of witches.

Such a thoughtful piece that offers in and out of game advice on incorporating kids into your game both as players and characters. This is a discussion we should be having more often because why wouldn't we want kids at the table whenever possible? Don't let that imagination go to waste!
The player content including kid "race" and backgrounds is nicely balanced and offers some options that allow you to customize your character in ways I'd love to see more of in character building.
