Breachworld RPG

A nice game in the post-apocalyptic genre, drawing some inspiration from Rifts and similar "The world ends because the dimensions broke" games. Using the Mini6 engine as its core, it's a good take on the genre, with some care given to the construction of its world, and an emphasis on more human-level conflicts.

D6 Space
Publisher: Nocturnal Media

An old stalwart of gaming, d6 Space is the generic descendant of WEG's Star Wars 2nd edition ruleset. I find its virtue and flaw system to be poorly worded, and much of the book to be confusingly laid out, but the core mechanics are and remain solid, with the Metaphysics single attribute taking the place of Star Wars' three "Force Skills" of Control, Sense, and Alter (though those remain, as skills beneath the attribute). It's not the best system out there, but its DNA underlies a lot of modern, skill-based, systems, either intentionally or coincidentally.

Dangerous Denizens: The Monsters of Tellene
Publisher: Kenzer & Company
by Mark H. [Verified Purchaser]

A book that does what Kenzerco does really well: providing context to monsters, making them pop with personality and making them part of the Kingdoms of Kalamar, their setting. Lots of great ideas, though it's designed for the 3.5 game system, it's minable for material for other settings.

Castles & Crusades Players Handbook 7th Printing

An excellent, eminently teachable, system for playing old-school AD&D style. Character creation is a breeze, and the system is simple enough to explain quickly, and capable of being mutilated in a number of ways without falling apart. Some classic archetypes of the game are not included (notably, the more hybrid styles, such as warrior-wizards or mage-thieves), but the style is such that they're creatable without much effort or fear of breaking the game. While they're widely praised, I feel the multiclass options in the back of the book are too complicated and not well enough explained, but the game is my standard for "A bunch of people who don't know D&D want to play D&D"... I can pick up an old school module, hand out sheets with race and class information, and start playing relatively quickly.

SND-02: Fane of the Heresiarch
Publisher: DDE Adventures

An extremely fun adventure from the "Fourthcore" era... timed, scored, adventures that you're pretty much expected to lose, but packed with fun scenarios and encounters. This really highlights some of the strengths of 4th edition... once you understand the basics of the system, you can pretty much play from your character sheet and have an awesome, tense, game, in a set amount of time.
