A Modron's Report: Volume # 1
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild

My 11 year old son & I were working on a Rogue Modron Player Race. We downloaded all of the Modron stuff on the DM Guild. This Title is not really about Modron, rather it is a collection of Evil Dieties Lairs written by Modron's who experienced them during the Great Migration. There is also a small adventure hook at the end.

The fluff of the intro, describing Candle Keep's struggle translating the discovered documents, the playful way in which Modrons are described and characterized, and the wonderful lore embodied within the intro is really good. Demonstrates clearly that the author is an experienced and talented DM--and a LOVER of Planescape.

The locations described are all lore rich and epic. A lot of thought and detail is included in each ~1 page write up. The maps are CLASSIC middle school graph paper and ruler drawings, an aesthetic that I love. As tools for sparking creative thought they are amazing, I cannot imagine actually running them as written, but they are dripping with creativity inspiring ideas.

Overall, this is a very solid product for the price & a good 10 minute inspirational read on the topic of the Forgotten Realm's Evil Diety Lairs.

I ran The Fairy Grove by for my 5E Homebrew Zendikar Game.

The boys are now playing Smurfs and the low combat options in this worked very well. Also, it was not your normal Low Level Kobold type adventure, which the boys enjoyed--I mean fighting kobolds is cool, but they had never seen MOST of the creatures in this adventure. The tie ins with other material was good--it uses the DMG + Volo's as optional sources of information, which was great--always like to use the books I bought.
