I give this 5 stars for the Encounter Design, Exploration, and Exploration Challenges sections alone. That's about 120 pages of content that any GM could use - and a lot of it could be used in games that aren't strictly fantasy; the Regions and Explorations Challenges could be put to use even in sci-fi games. there's also 13 pages on worldbuilding, and sections on Maladies, Adventuring Rewards, and Enchanted Gear.

This would a 5-star product for me, except some of the art looks half-finished (if that), like the contracted artist for those pieces ran out of time or misunderstoof the assignment or something, and the publisher ran out of money and/or time to contract someone else.
In terms of the textual content, this is a very handy addition to a GM's toolkit.

Not so great. The descriptive text is less than what's standard for race write-ups. The builds themselves are fine, but not very interesting - again not enough background.
All in all, this is fine for the price.

Excellent selection of tables and what-not, laid out very professionally. At $0 this is almost a must-have.

Nicely done set of tables to roll on or to pick from, to define a divine spellcaster character or to generate divine spellcasting traditions for a setting. The new death domain option at the end of the document seems well thought-out and balanced. Looks great on a screen but printing in b&w makes it a bit murky but still totally usable. It would be nice to have a more printer-friendly version, though.

A well thought-out set of tables to roll for or pick different quirks and traits to define a character or to create magical traditions for a setting. The aetheric magic variant rules at the end of the document seem well done, too. Looks great on a screen but printing in b&w makes it a bit murky but still totally usable. It would be nice to have a more printer-friendly version, though.

Not sure what yo say, other than it seems to capture the flavor of Robert E. Howard's tales while conforming roughly to traditional fantasy rpg structure.
