Mind the Gap (Revised)
Publisher: Silverthorne Games
by Alan L. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 09/04/2003 00:00:00

With a little more depth, this book would have started to remind me of the old Grimtooth's trap series. As it is, though there are few ridiculously original ideas here, it should get your evil DM's wheels turning.

Erroneous LIsting
Publisher: Goodman Games

If you remember your trips though the early '80s TSR modules with fondness, you MUST get this piece and its previously released companion, if only for nostalgia's sake. A worthy homage to the genre.

I like the way this is set up -- if you want to set a whole campaign aroung the ideas in this book, you can. If you aren't ready to hit the reset button on your players' current exploits, but you want to get away for a while, you can take some pre-gen characters, drop them in, and let everyone have at it.

Darwin's World 2: Survivor's Handbook

I was a little skeptical about the switch to D20 Modern, but there is enough 'value added' that it really is worth your while.

Some of the spells in here turned my stomach -- but sometimes that can be a good thing. I can't imagine any benificent PC's casting some of the spells in here, but on the other hand, if you're looking for good villain effects...

Bravo on the separate screen/print files. As long as you have the flexibility of the PDF format, use it.

A pretty good premise, but it still needs a little fleshing to be ideal.

101 Divine Spell Components
Publisher: Ronin Arts
by Alan L. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 09/04/2003 00:00:00

I love the whole 101 series, but I especially like the spell component books. It puts alot of flexibility into the magic system without upsetting the apple cart in the process.

If you're looking to put some magic back into your spells, this book should interest you.
