A nice, quick over view and background of monster player races.

Wow, I already knew that this rule was old but I feel like I need to review it, now keep it in mind that I am reviewing the RULE not the writing or graphic design. Step right up, yes you there! Get ready to limit your imagination and become one of the masses again. Yaun-ti purebloods can only be from the lord's alliance? Not Zhentarim and Lord's alliance? Because I feel like the Zhents would be glad to recruit an agent who could look human but be immune to poison. Overall, the rule limits play oppurtunities and imagination, I don't understand why someone thought this was a good idea, I mean one of the major parts 5E is the freedom of character creation.

The introduction limits the usage of the new races and backstories. So limit your imagination like never before.

Supplimental document for the hardback book published by WoTC to help include material for Adventurers League play.

This could have been a one page document outlining what races are playable and their faction limitations. The rest of the material serves as a flavorful teaser for what you'll find in Volo's Guide to Monsters. Ignore complaints of no racial stats being in this reference document: obviously you have to buy VGTM for that information.

Well, if you're looking for the stats of the races, you won't find it here. You'll just find a brief description of the races, about a small paragraph each.
