Nice companion to the Normandy building set. I liked the variety of rural & urban models and appreciated the way the interiors were included. I had issues with the windows showing up as white squares in an otherwise demolished structure. I tried cutting the out, but it's pretty tedious and I limited that to the edges of the destroyed sections. On the rest I compromised and added some impressionistic smoke window dressings and general grime with markers and paint. Adding the remains of flooring around the perimeter of demolished upper stories really makes them pop, as well as some random charred beams and debris A touch of black sprayed along the burnt edges really makes them look convincing. I notice that some of the building exteriors match up well, so you can "mix and match" to create new possibilities.

Dislikes: With both interior and exterior showing it is hard to reinforce and keep the longer wall from bowing. At least it's not so noticeable on demolished ruins!

Advertised as Normandy ruins, but most of them can do service in other theatres as well. I do wish that the company would do a series of ruins for Eastern Europe/Soviet Union.

LIKED: Different styles of buildings. Can combine ruins into larger versions. Good alternatives to resin buildings.

DISLIKED: Generally happy all around

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
A nice little set, but far too expensive for what you get. Despite saying so in the description, there are no streets included in this set. The country road does not include any intersections or turns. The river is just a straight piece, too, although included twice for some reason. If you'd like to have ruined Normandy buildings in 15mm, this might do the trick for you, but you'll need another source for the "scenics" that this set claims to provide.

LIKED: Great art work with easily assembled ruins.

DISLIKED: No real value in the "scenics" provided. Even with Set A, you're going to need to find another source to complete a town.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
A nice set of buildings that are in 'true' 15mm scale. The ruins can be mixed and matched and there is a selection of rural, urban and ruined bases the ruins can be mounted on.

Whilst you don't need a great deal of modelling skill to make these some of the ruins have fiddly bits, but these are optional and you don't have to add them if you don't want to. If you mix these ruins with the buildings set A you can make a sizeable Norman town that has been fought over.

LIKED: Interchangeable buildings and clear assembly instructions.

DISLIKED: Not much. A couple of the items are a bit fiddly to line up, but no real drama.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
