Clement Sector: The Rules
Publisher: Independence Games
by William W. [Verified Purchaser]

What's not to like? First off, a crisp, clean cover that really pops and let's you know exactly what to expect from the book. Second of all, you get a really good variation of the rules formerly known as the 1st Edition Traveller Rules from Mongoose Games in the Cepheus Engine. Next, you get a clear and concise presentation of the Cepheus Engine rules along with a fairly extensive Table of Contents that lets you know exactly where everything is. Tying it all together is artwork that covers the spectrum of the setting. Everything from everyday life to combat is shown in the artwork to really give you a feel for what you can expect when you sit down to play and immerse yourself in the world of the Clement Sector. Yes as pointed out in another review, this is only the rules for Clement Sector and you need two other books the Setting book and the ships book, Anderson and Felix. This format however is not uncommon. For years Dungeons and Dragons has been a 3 core book set. Shadowrun has at least 5 books in their core set. Multiple book core sets are not uncommon and even needed for a really good game. Sure there are games that succeed as a single stand alone book but not many and not many that have longevity. Clement Sector is a rising star in sci-fi roleplaying and well deserving of your time and money. If you like Firefly, Dark Matter, Blake's Seven or the Killjoys, this is the rule set and setting for you. I reccommend you give it a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The Secrets of Cats • A World of Adventure for Fate Core
Publisher: Evil Hat Productions

Confession first,

When I first heard about this project, I was quite skeptical. The idea sounded odd to me. However, being the Fate junkie that I am, I gave it a try. I have to say I am quite pleased I decided to buy this book. The art is whimsical and top notch and really adds to the atmosphere and flavor of the book. Of course, considering you are playing magical cats some of the skills are different as well as a few other rules. One other thing is that while the cover says that it is for Fate Core, and it is, having or being familiar with Fate Accelerated will help as the Approaches from Fate Accelerated are used for spirits. Speaking of spirits, that section is I would have to say the weakest of the book. I'd really liked to have seen more on them and other adversaries for the cats. Perhaps there is more to come. I certainly hope so. The Secrets of Cats deserves to be expanded on and get at the very least another book or more.

Another quality product form Gypsy Knights Games. A detailed little world that isn't your typical cookie cutter world for Traveller or any sci-fi game. Don't let the cover art fool you this isn't Hoth. This is a fully realized world that is just waiting for adventure. So check your ammo and set course for Winston just remember to pack your thermal long underwear.

Just picked this up. Really cool, though fair warning, if you are older like I am, upon reading it you are likely to get a particular song stuck in your head. I recommend it for all Traveller GMs. The universe Mr. Watts is building is really coming together. The book has some really nice artwork as well as top notch writing. The worlds are well thought out and seem real as if they are being reported on not merely created.

No prob at all with the download. As with all of the Gypsy Knights Games Quick World supplements , this is a quality product. At free you can't beat it and even not free a valuable resourse for the busy Traveller GM or any GM running a space or sci-fi game. There is no reason the info contained here couldn't be used for GURPS, Star Wars, or any number of like games. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Shadowrun: Gamemaster Screen: SR4A
Publisher: Catalyst Game Labs

Okay, nothing outstanding here but it is a great gamemaster's screen and it's priced right, free. Even if it wasn't free it is a valuable resourse that could easily fetch $5.00 or more. It has the relevent charts and info you need for your Shadowrun games and a really cool image for the side facing the players. If you have one of the pocketed GM screen holders it is really nice because you can place the panels where you want them. There is alot of color to it though so make sure you've got plenty of ink.

A great resource for a busy GM of any sci fi game not just Traveller. A rich setting that can easily be fleshed out to a full base setting or just a quick stop to refuel your starship. Combined with the other Quick Worlds books can really save any GM time which is always a plus.
