Never can have enough alien races, so I like this line. While I may not use it exactly as is it gives enough to springboard off.

LIKED: The whole thing actually.

DISLIKED: The lack of any pictures of the species not covered with text (i.e. the cover)

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Starships. They can be home, headquarters, transport, reward, weapon, etc. They are part and parcel of the Space RPG and often difficult for a GM to develop enough of, so this line is wonderful.

LIKED: Layout, concept. I really liked the fact that this was for transporting racers and their vehicles.

DISLIKED: The lack of detailed exteriors for front, back and bottom, but that is nitpicking. :)

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
There were some bits of growing pains at first (as some may have seen in my older comments that I acctually asked RPGNOW to remove). However once a line of communication opened up and the developers could share their thoughts and the subscribers knew their comments were being seen my perception of the service changed. Not only do we get great content, but we are often privy to coupons for other Ronin Arts products. It is a great service.

Also, check out the (officially acknowledged) forum for the datastream at www.d20projects.com. :)

LIKED: Variety and interactiveness (due to the forums). Also the starship deckplans have been real tight.

DISLIKED: Two months in now there is little I can see that is bad, not everything is 100% usable for my campaign, but those I think might not be actually often open up other ideas for me.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Month one is almost over and I am not as excieted about this product as I had figured I would be. It was implied we would get messages daily and for the first seven days of the product that was true. Then on 9 June we got two messages and none on Friday - I was upset, but looking back it does not say a message Daily M-F like I thought, it says five messages a week. This repeated the next week (I still didn't get it, so I was a bit upset still). Then this week comes around and so far we have only recieved two of our five messages.

Also, the content is fairly light. My final opinion is reserved for when we recieve our promised spacecraft this month, but I'm borderline upset, so hopefully things will become more regular in the future with this product. We'll see...

LIKED: Waiting to see if the starship will qualify for the answer to this.

DISLIKED: Irregularity.

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Disappointed
I'm sorry you're not happy with the material or frequency. At 5/week the object wasn't to release something every day -- with the DM's Idea Pipeline there are sometimes two or three e-mails in a single day -- but to give people a certain amount of stuff each week. Feel free to e-mail me at roninartspresident@yahoo.com and we can discuss what you'd like to see in the future.

Thanks for the kind words... Idea sparking is exactly what we try to do. I'm a little confused why the review was good and the rating was mediocre. If you could provide more detail to help us improve the product, please email: contact@ddggames.com Thanks!

Tilez - Sci-Fi

It wasn't as good as I expected it to be, while it had some useful images but it was very repetitive. A demo would have been nice, but also probably would have made the product redundant.

LIKED: It has some useful images.

DISLIKED: Very repetitive. Hi sorry about your disappointment, but lets just look at the blurb that went with the item. For a start 25 different styles of basic tile for $2.50. "Tilez is a basic set of floorplan tiles for use with any sci-fi miniature game or rpg. This set consists of 25 different styles of basic tile including tread plate, rusty grids, technical, plates and other designs." The equivalent of 10c a page (plus item pages to add to the floors themselves) not bad value for money there then; so why disappointed, the value at that rate is excellent. "Each tile design includes one sheet of 10 inch x 7 inch tiles, and a selection of furnishings to add to the base tile." nothing complicated about this and it clearly says what the product is about. And next, "Unlike our other products which present complete rooms, this set is specifically aimed at those who wish to cut out their own rooms or corridors in any shape and size, and add a selection of details such as tables, etc...", so repetition no, but all the tiles are the same size so you can cut them to shape yourself and therefor look similar "The design of these tiles will compliment any Sci-fi game which uses miniatures." They do the job as stated at a VFM price "Please note that these are BASIC tiles and come in both colour and greyscale. All prints are available in full colour and greyscale. image" This tells you once again "basic tiles" that come in grey and colour, you haven't said why you were disappointed with quality perhaps you would write to us with an explanation of what was wrong with the quality of the images, in your opinion. We do take all our customers comments seriously and will attempt to do our best to satisfy the complete marketplace unfortunately this is sometimes not possible. As regards the demo issue I had thought that every product has a link to some free download at our website to give an indication of what you are buying. I shall look into this issue and if its wrong will get it corrected. Other reviews of this product are available. Kevin for UKG Publishing.
