Excellent set of fleet action rules for the Age of Sail. I like the fact it places the players in the role of squadron admirals, not ship captains. The games can go relatively quick, depending on the number of ships on each side, versus some rules which put you in the role as ship captain. I found that learning and using historical squadron manuevering and command is the key to victory in this set of rules. The abstraction of ship to ship combat is about right for this level of play. Overall, I highly recommend for those wanting to play in the role of an admiral, not a ship captain.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Rules were easy to learn. The focus on fleet actions.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Didn't really care for the fact that the examples were a separate file from the main rules. I don't like having to flip from the rules to the examples. I would have preferred to have the examples embedded with the rules.
