I don't play D20, so I only buy this series for the deckplans and map tiles. With their specialized tiles, these sets make the eFuture tile sets much more useful. (The overhead diagrams are nice too.)

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
"To boldly go where no Ronin Arts starship deckplan has gone before ?"

(Cue Music)

Okay, so the Magellan starship is hardly a military heavy cruiser like the starship Enterprise, but it is the perfect player starship for d20 Future GMs who want to run a starfaring campagn based on space exploration, and deep-space encounters with the unknown.

The Magellan is a Progress Level 7 exploratory vessel, and it contains everything a group of players will need to take their characters beyond the edge of known space and into adventure.

LIKED: - Everything, basically. Beyond the always-excellent deckplan and ship's data, this product also offers a new ship's system (Improved Radiation Shielding), and tabletop-scale map counters for the starship's hovervan, as well as it's cadre of scientific sensor drones.

DISLIKED: - I have no complaints.

 • First-time buyers ought to be reminded, however, that the ship deckplan is not tabletop scale. If you want to lay out the starship on your gaming table, you'll need to buy the requisite printable-tile PDFs from Skeleton Key Games mentioned in the starship info. These tiles are available here on RPGNow, and are high-quality.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This is the 8th Starship in Ronin Arts line by the same name and includes:

1) New Starship enhancements 2) 3 Roles for the Magellan to file 3) Game statistics 4) Starship Key 5) Adventure hooks 6) Views/Decks/Bonus Tiles

This product revists concepts from the Hamaval and Cronkite and develops some the ideas more fully. And includes damaged counters for probes and hover vans

LIKED: Expansion of earlier ideas. (bonus to owners of the earlier) 100% OGC text Multiple roles for the Magellan in the game

DISLIKED: No Magellan class

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Even moreso than the Cronkite, the Magellan is an example of an asymmetrical starship that has no need of aerodynamics to enter a planet's atmosphere itself except in dire circumstances - and why would it, with all the science drones, hover trucks and shuttlecraft it has available.

After a hiccup (imho) with the starfighter set, Ronin Arts have come back swinging with this and the Cronkite being EXCELLENT examples of practical ship design, nicely laid out deck plans and stats, and both are brimming with adventure potential. I love this design, it's just so practical and has a realistic feel to it. All we need now is a bigger ship that utilises the elevators from Star Command to have multiple decks :)

LIKED: Great design, good adventure potential, another free e-tile.

DISLIKED: Nothing.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This is another great ship design. Makes a great "science gone wrong" game setting. The adventure ideas are great. Very nice presentation. I started buying these sets for the tiles (Skeleton Keys' work is easily worth a few bucks for a bonus tile or two) but I've been enjoying the starship write ups as well

LIKED: The tiles and ship details

DISLIKED: Nothing I did not like

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
