I don't play D20, so I only buy this series for the deckplans and map tiles. With their specialized tiles, these sets make the eFuture tile sets much more useful. (The overhead diagrams are nice too.)

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This PDF details two fighter-type spaceships for a d20 Future game. It begins with a short introduction listing assumptions regarding the use of this ship, and some information about the author.

This is followed by a short text about buying things of a lower PL than you are at now. Then we get some new ship hardware (engine and weapons), followed by the two fighters. Each fighter gets a short background, after which comes the d20 Future stats for the ship. There is also suggestions for upgrading the ships using templates, and some adventure hooks.

Finally we get a silhoutte of each ship, including an extra silhoutte for the upgraded version of one of the fighters.

LIKED: A solid product. I liked the added counters - very nice.

DISLIKED: Perhaps, just a little bit more of information regarding the fighters. Compared to other PDFs in this series, this one had a little less information overall.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
No interior tiles but the vehicle exterior view tiles are great for filling up that docking bay. Also with the stats they are usesful in those hot orbital actions also.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
The 6th entry into the Starships line provides the purchaser with two starfighter. These little ships mostly cockpit, engines and weapons deviate from Ronin Arts detail deck plans and their relationship with Skeleton Key Games.

Originally I was concerned with the lack of deck plans, so I wrote Ronin Arts and asked why the deck plans did not exist. We reached an understanding on how big these guys actually were and later Ronin Arts upgrade the product with Starfighter counters to represent scale.

It adds mechanics for older ships, "flying junkers"; New Ship systems, returns to the idea of a class of ships, and has upgrade packages for the ships detailed.

Adventure hooks, Views and Starship tiles included

LIKED: 100% Quality Customer support 100% OGC text Starfighter counters

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Small one man craft are a staple of all space operas. With this product you can run dogfights between these fighter craft. S foils in attack position, oh wait. You can't really do that with these ships.

LIKED: Good ideas and plot hooks.

DISLIKED: For this price? Bit disappointing in that it would have been so easy to make the ship overhead views into scaled colour counters for use with the other plans in this series. Other than that its a fine product.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
As a big fan of all the previous Starships entries, I have to say that this is something of a letdown. Although the description clearly states that there are no deckplans or tiles included with this file (how could there be for one-man fighters?) it's still disappointing that the colour counters were not included from the get-go. The designs themselves have some interesting ideas but taken in the context of this as a single product do not stack up with previous releases in the series. Also, the d20F size descriptions baffle me (as a player of Traveller d20 instead) - these fighters are listed as either 'huge' or 'gargantuan' - huh? Note that this is more a reflection of d20F than Ronin Arts, assuming it is correct.

With luck my opinion of this product will improve once the hinted at tile sets for carriers/starbases come out, but for now it's the weakest in the series by far.

LIKED: The F-27 Gnat upgrade makes for an interesting concept although I am unsure it would function as an atmospheric fighter; the top views and silhouettes are nicely done as usual.

DISLIKED: Not much here to work with really; no counters or deckplans which are what I primarily buy these for. Limited usefulness in a 'generic' sense, although if you need new fighters for a 20F game I guess you'll like it.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
