Quality B&W and greyscale art, open rules on re-use. And I've been looking for suitable cat/human images for ages :-)
Style and quality varies - some artwork is gothic, spiritual, some is more comical.

LIKED: Great price

DISLIKED: Included a couple non-fantasy images that should perhaps of gone into Vol Three.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
A very rectangular village, probably more suited to skirmish-style games than to d20 fantasy.
Unfortunately it will take me a little work to adapt it for my D&D use. That's do-able thanks to having the separate feaures available. A little re-sizing in a graphics package should do the trick.
Pretty, though.

LIKED: Having the separate houses, walls and roads available for re-use.

DISLIKED: The scale is 1 square = 10', which is a shame, because that makes it difficult to use for d20 fantasy.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
Actually the scale is 1" = 5 feet as this product is designed for d20 fantasy. |

Sure I've seen these somewhere before - Elfwood?
Anyway, reasonable quality, lots of different styles, and the artist is allowing open-ended re-use, which is great. The demo is an accurate thumbnail of everything you get.
The collection as a whole doesn't quite hang together, with the different styles and materials used. It makes it feel a bit non-professional, or in a more positive light, "indie".

LIKED: The simple open-ended rights to re-use. It's also pretty rare to get colour images for clip-art at this price.

DISLIKED: Varied style makes it difficult to use more than one image at a time in a publication.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
High quality B&W artwork. Simple to understand rights on re-use. A demo that shows you exactly what pictures you'll get. No faff with web interfaces or cut & paste from .pdf . . . V Shane sets a high standard for publisher-friendly art.

LIKED: Quality and ease-of-use

DISLIKED: For some reason, Photoshop v7.0 doesn't like the .tif format, and images look corrupted. Other graphics programs read them fine, though . . .

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Satisfied
Thanks Neil, glad you like them. Gives me something to think on. Mine read perfect in P7, make sure they are all converted to greyscale and not in bitmap format. Goodluck on the products you'll use these for! |

A simple alternative for lead figures. I've used clip-art to create my own versions of these before. It's always handy to find a decent set pre-made.

LIKED: Characters are simple and generic, and graphics look good at scale they will be printed at.

DISLIKED: Having to register at PIGames to receive product.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
Demo link is a little misleading. I was expecting something more original and misleading.
The images are nice B&W of D&D standard monsters, but for the number you get, and the "personal use only" restriction, it's not worth $4. If I want to show my players what an Owlbear looks like, I can use the Monster Manual picture, after all! Only use I can think for these images in my own campaign is for counters/tiles and maybe decoration on a player handout.
This simply does not compare well with other picture sources on RPGnow.

LIKED: Pic quality is fine. A couple of original ideas: I liked the animated bearskin and zombie wolf :-)

DISLIKED: It's just pitched wrong. It needs to be either cheaper ($1?), have more images, have more rights to re-use the images, or be a lot more original, to be worth purchasing. An accurate demo is an essential addition.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
These are mostly comic-strip-style character portraits, just faces, b&w, good quality. However, for $3, if I find one or two items to use, then that's great, even if it's just character portraits for the campaign.

LIKED: The price!

DISLIKED: No thumbnails or demo :-(. At the price point, I just dove in and took a risk . . .

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Started using tilesets from SKG (and other vendors) recently, and can't get enough of them now.

LIKED: 6x6 Tiles are just the right size to create a flexible layout

DISLIKED: I could do with some kind of management system for all the tiles I have now. e-Adventures please do more wilderness variations!

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Good quality b&w sketches, I have used many of them. The artwork is in a consistent style, and suitable for graphics to break up text, and item cards.

LIKED: One of very few artists doing drawings of items and weapons.

DISLIKED: There is repetition of content across some of the later Arcane Publisher's Editions. Check out the demo before buying . . .

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
