There are a few nice pieces in this one, but the fact that this is one big PDF instead of separate, useable images (png, tigg, gif, jpg) is annoying because I have to manipulate the PDF file before I can use any one image. Bought as part of a bundle for a low price, so the value was fine.

The art (all b&w) ranges from so-so to pretty good, none of it up to the standards of the cover. A bit better quality-wise than volume one, but a lot of the images are bust-type portraits. I don't have much use for those, but they'd be good for say a character sheet illustration. I'd prefer to see this sort of collection done as a single-artist work since I prefer books that maintain the same art style throughout.

LIKED: Nothing especially stands out - I might have given it four stars if there were more full-body and/or scene illustrations.

DISLIKED: Four artists doing 23 images still doesn't give you many in a consistent style.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
I'm a designer, not a publisher. What I need is quick, usable art to fill cards, make standees, and jazz up maps/rulebooks in prototype form, rather than make camera-ready art. This package is just right for that. If you want camers, ready art, pay for it..for most gamers and designers, this pack makes good sense.

LIKED: Variety, application, ease of use.

DISLIKED: There's not much not to like.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
If you need a few quick pieces of art for a homebrew project then you can probably justify picking this one up, but if you're in search for commercial-quality art, then this one ain't it.

LIKED: The price.

DISLIKED: Uninspired art. No demo (I know why now).

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Disappointed
I'm sorry you were disappointed with the art but all of it was commercial art produced by many professional artists working in the industry today.

Quality B&W and greyscale art, open rules on re-use. And I've been looking for suitable cat/human images for ages :-)
Style and quality varies - some artwork is gothic, spiritual, some is more comical.

LIKED: Great price

DISLIKED: Included a couple non-fantasy images that should perhaps of gone into Vol Three.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
We (Tabletop Adventures) bought this looking for art for an upcoming project. With no demo, we based our decision on the other comments available, and the sale price. I was pleased with the quality of many (though not all) of the pictures and we would have gotten our money's worth out of the product. However...
This product has an End User Licensing Agreement which is not revealed until the last page of the PDF document in which the artwork appears. It states that by purchasing the product, we have already agreed to the license even though there was no previous mention of it. It has restrictions such as having it on computers in only one location and not allowing modification of the "Software" which, depending on how they are interpreted, render the product totally useless for us. I have written the company for an explanation, but I'm afraid we will not be able to use this art after all.

LIKED: Several very nice character portraits.

DISLIKED: Surprise End User Licensing Agreement that reads like it is for a computer program rather than artwork, with lots of restrictions.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
We're sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase, but you are receiving over 20 images for under $5. Each of these images cost well over that when originally purchased. Our license agreement is similar to other art vendors on RPGNow.com and all that we ask is that you do not modify the pieces.
Thank you,
Hyrum Savage

Definitely a superior product over the original when it comes to overall quality, but lack of variety is a sting. Most of these pictures are portraits from the chest up, and are in grey scale rather than B+W line art, which can hurt some publishers. Most of the book is of high quality, but there are a good number of very low quality images too, which hurts the overall rating. They would have been better off just keeping the higher quality ones rather than arbitrarily padding their book. The other big problem is the lack of a Demo, which is my #1 pet peeve. I took a chance and it paid off for the most part, but it is hard to buy something when you don't know if it will work for you or not.

LIKED: Good quality overall.

DISLIKED: a number of bad quality pics, and lack of demo hurts.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
I looked at this product at length, and I'd like to say that it is a worthwhile buy. The images here in range from the highly fantastic (a cat humanoid) to the more mundane (someone in cowboy hat with a guitar in its case). Although they did not leave a preview of the product you are getting, I recommend it you any DM or fantasy publisher. Although you may have to create a cat race in order to use the furry-picture.

LIKED: High quality images for the price. Many of them seemed alive.

DISLIKED: The fact it was in PDF instead of a Tiff collection. UGH!

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Satisfied
So Otherworld Creations is hurting for cash, and decide to sell the art they've used in their games. If only we could cripple Wizards, and get them to sell their art. But until we can undermine the emperor of RPGs, this will sure as hell do. These images are very cool and more or less generic. I can use more than half of them, which is saying something for a four dollar art book.

LIKED: The art is great. I could (and have) paid for lots worse. And there are a good number of images in here for your money.

DISLIKED: You get a single PDF, which means you will have to extract the images if you want to use them. Not a huge deal, but I prefer a bundle of TIFs.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
