Lots of products on DM's guild try to emulate the official product line. Originally I planned to do the same, but I was worried about the possible ramifications of making my products too similar. I started making changes to make my products stand out, and in the end I decided to drop emulating the official product line altogether and just find another look I'm happy with.
That's where Corey's graphic elements come in. These are high quality images, a mixture of cloudy effects, splatter effects, and blots. They can be added to the background of your page to give it more character. Alternatively, I like to use them as backgrounds that frame images, similar to the approach taken in official D&D products.
These images look great, and for less money than I might have to spend on a fancy cup of coffee. I ended up picking up everything Corey offers, which did get more expensive of course. But now I have a lot of great options, and I figure I got them for a steal.
I don't presently have an example of how I've used Layout Elements: Bleak Blue, but I do have an example of how I used images from Layout Elements: Phantasmal Purple as well as Layout Elements: Blue Marble Backgrounds. To see how I used these graphic elements, check out my product: Arcane Traditions: The Hedge Wizard.
I have additional products in development that also use Corey's graphics, including Layout Elements: Bleak Blue. Although I can't show you as they're not released yet, so far I think they look great! Thanks Corey!
