Treasure Islands ?

Well, I opened recently the Stevenson book and looked at the map and it didn't feel like those... The artwork is good, but these Islands lacks mistery and variety. A volcano, a strange shaped rock, a wreck, even a cave of some kind would give them something more romantic and therefore maybe more usable for a GM.

LIKED: The artwork.

DISLIKED: Too generic. Lacks imagination. It can be useful if you need "just an Island"? But those are NOT treasure islands useful for an RPG scenario...

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
I guess I was thinking I was recieving something similiar to there other products. The islands are too small for me to use in my campaign

LIKED: Great artwork as usual

DISLIKED: The islands are not very usuable unless you're running a small island majority water setting

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
I liked this product quite a lot. I'm not sure how to fit it in yet, though. Its a bunch of nicely coloured islands and half-islands that you can put together to make custom islands. There are plenty of them too.

LIKED: The flexibility of the connectable 'half-islands' was very useful.

DISLIKED: I know they're treasure islands, but...did they ALL have to be desert islands? This is a minor gripe, really.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Very Satisfied
These are islands for use with naval encounters they are not for minature use. I love the artwork that Skeletonkey puts out. They can be put together any way you want. Good quality but limited usage.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Satisfied
If you need some islands to explore for a sea/ocean campaign, then you won't be disappointed by buying these tiles.

This set is really two sets of island maps. One set is just the islands which can be cut out. The other is the islands on blue square tiles, which can be cut out and connected to make an ocean of islands.

The most obvious use for this set of maps is for the game "Pirates of the Spanish Main", for which they would be excellent. Any other game using small ships would benefit from using them as well.

If you are looking for islands for your 28-32mm figures, then these are probably not for you. The scale is generally too small.

The just item at the correct time. I am impatient to view the boosters from Wizkids and their new game Pirates of the Spanish main. I am sure this templates 'll do a good job in this new game. I am impatient to see the volume two. Maybe with scotish islands with fog and grey splashing waves of water and not an tranquility equatorial blue sea.

Excellent set of islands for use with 'that pirate ship game' that is currently sold out everywhere and waiting for more to become available (I know I am!), I can also imagine these islands seeing use in seaborne rpgs (the Conan RPG's Pirate Isles, perhaps? GRGs Skull & Bones? Lots of potential uses that I can see). Although they are ungridded it's no hard work to add a grid of your own to suit whatever scale you need to islands to be, and of course as usual the graphics themselves are beautiful. As already commented on though note that this is a standalone set and DOES NOT fit with the other e-tiles from Skeleton Key, nor is it meant to. Seeing these leaves me wondering what a 'tropical island' set of regular e-tiles would look like though.....

I'm a sucker for maps and floorplans, and the ones Ed produces for Skeleton Key are amongst the best I've ever seen in over 25 years of gaming.

Grrrr I bought this by mistake thinking it was an E-Adventure title (that's what I get for being so gung-ho about SKG new releases).

The artwork, like all SKG releases, is crisp, clean, and great to look at. The inclusion of islands w/out water is great for players of that pirates game.

Very nice looking set!
