This is a good tool for adding quirk to your game. A terrific little installment, these are great plot hooks for nearly any modern game with any degree of weirdness percolating around. Some are a little specific (and the author gets too "cute" with a few others) but I estimate that even the most picky GM will walk away from this with easily 15-20 new ideas.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Great idea for a product, good price, the author is one of my favorites, terrific "pick and choose" attitude, good summaries.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: A few parentheticals distracted. One thing I would suggest for future supplements of this kind is to take 1-3 of the hooks and expand them out into 1-page descriptions of various ways they can be used in different sorts of campaigns.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Hmm a bit light and nothing too different from what you'd find on snopes.com. Some are good plot hooks, but right now I wish I had saved my money. Not much d20 modern in it either. Rather disappointed.

101 Urban Legends is like a grab bag of plot hooks and ideas (or even red herrings) for use in a conspiracy type campaign (for example, d20 Modern Dark*Matter). Each of the 101 entries is around a paragraph in length, some have associated d20 Modern game mechanics suggestions for their use. Some you will recognize from real world urban legend, others are the creation of the author. They vary from interesting, to truly bizarre, to downright silly, but can't you say that about all urban legends in the real world?

This product provides a lot of great plot hooks for any modern occult/conspiracy based rpg. While a handful are geared more towards a Urban Arcana or similar d20 Modern Campaign, many can also be used with games such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Conspiracy X, Unknown Armies, or World of Darkness. Highly reccomended and well worth such a small price.
