Deepnight Revelation

It does not contain a campaign at all. If you buy this expensive 45€ "campaign" this is what you get: Two kinda poorly written adventures and two manuals for how to keep track of supplies and maintenance on a Star Trek Enterprise type ship.

So, four books total. Two are small adventures. One starter investigative mission. One ending mission. The other two books contain nothing of importance unless you really like to simulate management and logistics. I feel like most people don't want that, I feel like most people want to experience sci-fi adventure. My group did the first adventure. Then I (the gm) created like 5 adventures myself. Then we ran the end adventure. I threw the other books away.

It seems the actual campaign are the other six expensive books referenced (hidden) in Deepnight Revelation book 2. You might just get those instead. Riftsedge Transit 25€, Near Side of Yonder 25€, The Crossing 25€, Far Side of Nowhere 25€, Voidshore 25€. Those actually contain some kind of adventures, but uhh.. mostly just space phenomena, angry animal attacks and talking to alien tribes.

To summarize: I did not feel I got my money worth. I could just have skipped this since I had to create all the adventures anyway. I do not recommend anyone to get this.

Death Station

A generic dungeoncrawl on a small ring-station. Could work pretty good if you inject it into a campaign with an evil megacorp that is doing combat-drug experiments. Features angry test-animals and cannibals, and also the most confusing map I've ever encountered in an RPG.

HOSTILE Mega [BUNDLE]

Great setting but super sloppy text and design. I bought the mega bundle but I quickly discovered that your really, really only need the Rule Book and Setting book (and this one you need just because it has equipment in it). Might as well buy the Traveller book instead of this bundle, because you are going to need it to clarify things the Hostile rulebook just ignores. Like the draft mechanic. What happens if you don't qualify for your first career? Just doesn't say. Some skills are kind of the same as well. Like Comms, Computers and Electronics. Ground Vehicle, Vehicle, Watercraft. Aircraft and Pilot. They could be compressed into one skill instead of two or three. The "illustrations" are crappy 3D-renderings or pictures with a photoshop filter on-top. Text is repeating the same words over and over. I quote the description of the Investigation Skill: "Scientific analysis and the use of complex and accurate scientific tools and equipment to gather clues at a crime scene or scientific location." It's so bad it might be a joke.

We're really glad you like the Hostile setting Andreas, we think it captures the mood, themes and vision of movies like Alien, Bladerunner and Outland perfectly. It's nice you appreciate the setting we've built up around that concept. It sounds like you don't like the artwork, though, which is aimed at realism more than 'fantasy art' which you may prefer. That's OK. As far as skills go, I think you might have issues with Mongoose's Traveller, we use most of the same skills and even skill descriptions. That might be the source of the 'sloppy text' you referenced.

Delta Green: Agent's Handbook

One of the greatest systems of all time. Amaaaazing scenarios.

Although, it is kinda heavy if you are not a native english-speaker (or really good at english). There is a lot of verbigeration going on ontop of a lot of very official-sounding fancy words. The text (in both the rule books and scenarios) could have been trimmed down a lot in my personal opinion. I often see the writer use two or even three adjectives to describe something. And often the adjectives are just synonyms of each other. They over-explain/over-clarify sometimes and that just makes it confusing.

So the real horror from this game is trying to translate the 35 page scenarios into your own language. ~Sincerely, a Swede.

Great content inside, but it's kinda unclear sometimes and hard on the eyes to read.

Hard on the eyes: The font choice makes my eyes hurt. It's also so.. cramped. Feels like as much text as possible has been crammed into each page to save printing money or something.

Unclear stuff: I think it assumes you have played IZ before, because they talk about stuff without really explaining it first. I had to google what the hell TAP is. Maybe it's in there somewhere in the PDF, but I could not find it in the walls of text. I would also like a clearer explanation of Strain. It kinda just says it's a "unagumented vigor die". Not sure what that means.
