Pegasus 29 - Olympus Class Station
Publisher: UKG Publishing
by Robby A. [Verified Purchaser]

I thought long about buying this, because its pretty pricey for its type of product, but I'm not sorry. It is a great set of maps. Many, many, many levels of a space station - more levels than I'd probably use, but I consider that a good thing.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: I like almost everything in this product. The map of the station is nice. I like that the index lets you jump to either the color or B&W version of that particular level. I like the renderings of the outside of the station.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Some of the cut lines are funky, and there is a lot of whitespace. I'm not sure that can be helped with a product this massive, but I know that a lot of paper got wasted printing. I'd also like a more easily printable key for each level (if the index was a PDF rather than a webpage, this would be easily accomplished).<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

What better way to add more fun to an already great RPG. We started using these the day I bought it and printed them out, and its added immeasurably to our games.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Very creative, very easy to use.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Nothing, really. I'd love more cards. :)<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Not a bad ship at all. Nice design, nice layout. Ten pages of description, and 20+ pages of maps (both color and B&W). I'll definitely be using this ship in my campaigns, and it was well worth the $2.50 price tag.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: The 2D map tiles and the bonus graphics are worth the price by themselves. They are very strong. The bonus 3D graphics are a really nice touch - helps you visualize the ship.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The description of the ship is not terribly inspiring. The "it has 14 lasers, but only two can fire" part of the description seemed a little silly. If a ship of its size can only have 2 weapons, why does it have 14?<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Terrain Pak 1 - The Fields of War
Publisher: Penguin Labs LLC
by Robby A. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 10/20/2004 00:00:00

I was looking for cardstock terrain for outdoor landscapes, and this pack fit the bill. Its great for creating hills of various sizes for miniatures (either RPG, skirmish or wargaming) at relatively low cost and low time. The benefit, too, is the pieces are modular and easy to store (and transport), so you can use the pieces you make to create endless different landscapes.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: I love the modular terrain pieces, especially the hills. The way the pack is created, it is quick and easy to build small or large hills with varying contours, and there is enough variation in the pieces that it doesn't look amateurish. The shrub rows and hedges are nice, too.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The graphic detail isn't great. Its not bad, but it could be a little better. It would have been nice to have the grids on the other included textures besides the Grass.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

As usual, another fine product from WWG. This one is absolutely fantastic for interiors. The art is excellent, the pieces are relatively easy to assemble, and the final product really enhances game play.

Vyllage-on-the-Cheep COLOR Buildings Set #5
Publisher: GiantGGames
by Robby A. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 05/21/2004 00:00:00

Not a bad set. The tower is a little thin, but the shop and the taverns are nice (and the greenhouse is an usual and pleasant touch). The buildings are just a little undersized for 25-28mm figures, so I had to enlarge the PDFs a bit in order to make them match scale better.

Nice product. Good artwork. The campsites and rocks are a nice touch (although I wish there was a plain one included). The 9' x 6' format is great for mixing and matching.

I printed these out on cardstock, laminated them, and now I have a quick and easy customizable battlemat. Very slick, and looks great solid. Much better than a plain old battlemat.

Vyllage-on-the-Cheep COLOR Stone Bridge & Towers
Publisher: GiantGGames

Of all the Vyllage-on-the-Cheep products, this one is the one that really grabbed my eye and my first purchase of their products. I am very pleased. Very easy to print and assemble, I finished a two-span long bridge in a few hours (in one night) that just looks fantastic. The towers and similarly easy, with the same high quality look (and the catwalk is a great touch).

My only complaint about this product is the sequencing of the pieces. To make an extra long bridge, I had to print another set of (unnecessary) ramps when printing the second bridge span. Same thing with the side posts. But that is a minor gripe compared to the final product.

This is my 4th WorldWorks purchase (I've also got Castleworks, DungeonWorks and ArenaWorks). CastleWorks and DungeonWorks are very good, ArenaWorks is great, but this set is just simply SPECTACULAR. The art is phenomenal, the ideas are great. I love the "mystic green" sewers, the collection of traps is pretty cool, and the Crypt Walls are a must have.

Answers to questions you might have about WWG:

(*) Yes, the artwork really looks like the pictures on the site and in the promos.

(*) Yes, these are relatively easy to assemble.

(*) Yes, your players will love these. The first time I trotted out some models for my players, their jaws dropped. Everyone commented on how different the perspective is with the models, and how it enhanced the game.

(*) Yes, you will want to buy more sets after buying this. I'm currently planning on which one to buy next. :)

Another fantastic product from WorldWorks. Great art that prints even nicer than it looks in the file (get it done professionally and it looks even better). Easy to assemble and adds a totally new dimension to the games.
