While I didn't find this particularly useful for my campaign and players, it is super well written and thoughtfully put out. If you want a way for your players to start from very humble beginnings before they even really pick a class, this is a great way to have some variant rules for doing so. If you are really into some realism in your campaign, this is a great resource to provide it.

As other reviewers said, this is pretty bare bones, which makes it a great resource for if you want to make your mini-bosses a bit more challenging but want some of the logistics sorted out for you. If you don't have ideas for special attacks though, you aren't going to have a lot of use for this.
I've filed it away for my - if I need a resource for rules later but can't really put it straight into my game right now.

I definitely applaud the creator's ingenuity - coming up with this many hilarious wild magic surges takes talent! While a lot of them I'm not sure how I would incorporate into actual gameplay, there were several I did add to my wild magic surge table for my players. I can't wait to see what they do when a random creature teleports into the caster's arms instead of casting whatever spell they are attempting to cast...or finding out how they roleplay their need to travel in a conga line whenever they are not in combat. I modified several of these to have actual impacts on gameplay, but overall, this resource will spark some fun role play and interesting effects for all players!

Another fun set of wild magic surges, but many of them are impractical for actual gameplay. They are super funny to read though - I recommend purchasing just for the fun in seeing these creative magic surges.
I did find several again to incorporate into my own wild magic surge table for my players and have enjoyed watching them try to figure out what happened - some of them I have turned into "UNKNOWN EFFECTS", where my caster just knows something happened, but isn't aware of what the effect is yet (for example, the next item they touched they became stuck to as if held by sovereign glue. They happened to touch an NPC. There is now a permanent addition to the party while they search for some way to detach the two).

Overall, this is a really fun resource. Some of these are just funny to read, but I don't know how I would incorporate them into actual gameplay. I modified several of them for my Wild Magic Surge table (which I randomly change on my Sorcerer for added chaos) and just recently had a party member turn into a swarm of bees for 24 hours, which was hilarious for everyone involved and definitely foiled their plans. Many useful ideas to use in your own Wild Magic Surge or random effects tables!

Thank you! I find the weirder the effect, the more memorable and exciting chaos magic becomes. Thanks again for the review |

This resource provided the seed for a side quest I am SUPER excited to run. I want to get the full Book soon - I can only imagine how many great dragon-themed adventures I could run. I love any resource that turns tropes on their head and this provides not only a few starter dragons you can do that with, but suggestions for making your own weird wyrms. This fit perfectly into the theme of my overall campaign (what is the true nature of evil? Is a dragon evil because it kills, even though it is in its nature?). I HIGHLY recommend checking this out.
The information is thoughtful, well-written, and gives tons of suggestions for incorporating these eccentric dragons into many different settings and adventures!!

Great if you want to interject some realism for players who are hoarders and want to carry everything they find. A great new way to handle burdens and weight with some fun rules.
I liked the inclusion of store rooms and rules for using them - great for setting up some secret areas my players could try to break into or a fun mechanic to include if they are carrying somethng particularly valuable that shouldn't or couldn't be stored in a bag of holding!

I love this set of rules for exploring and learning a new city. I am integrating it into my campaign where my players will have some intrigue and mysteries to solve in various cities - this will provide them with a more concrete way to explore and learn the city. Great for more roleplay based games! Thank you!

Really fun resource to expand playing a dwarf character. I personally would change the "Dwarven Ambassador" to a background instead of a feat, but overall, this is a really well-thought out resource. There are weapons, feats, and spells for dwarven players. Definitely integrating it into my Player's Handbook for my campaign!

I haven't run this yet, but I plan to use it to further the rivalry and relationship interactions within Strixhaven, having my NPCs challenge the players to an Egg Off! I just finished drafting out my edits and I love how well thought out and clever this is with lots of traps and puzzles. HIGHLY recommend as a great drop-in activity for a group who enjoys puzzles. I'll try to update after I run it with my group. Also am happy to share the edits I made to make it fit in Strixhaven if you're interested!

Really great spells and easy to plug into any campaign. I especially liked all the necromancy spells, as we're doing Strixhaven and the Way of the Vein deals with a lot of necromancy! Looking forward to seeing the next letters!!!

Easy to use, gives great ideas for what proficiency with the tools can do for characters and (most importantly to me) included details about what each of these tool kits contain! This adds great flavor to a campaign so players can imagine what is in their tool kit and what they might be able to do with it. The handy cards are nice for easy distribution.

Some really fun homebrewed items and some good ideas to spark other items. I liked the DM notes about how to utilize the items.
A few of the descriptions were a bit confusing and it needed some editing for 5 stars, but overall, a fun, free resource! Thank you!
