While many posts before me cover the vast reasons to buy this product, (right now, buy it NOW), I can't help but add my ramblings as well.
The sheer detail of every single piece in this set moves the progess bar of this entire industry. It's not surprising then, that every substantial and notable increase in the past few years come from World Works Games themselves! No other company even comes close to the quality that WWG presents, and their prices are by far the greatest deal a consumer can choose. I honestly don't understand why anyone would consider purchasing from a different company. Why pay more for a product that doesn't even compare to this company's magnificent malleable masterpieces? (WWG's products by themselves are works of art, even taken out of the paper product context!) The sheer innovation in what this company is accomplishing with transferring beautiful 2D images into a 3D, scaled environment, is more than enough to blow any gamer's expectations and preconceptions of paper modelling.
For any naysayers out there, do yourself a favor: BUY A SET, you won't regret the decision, (unless you fear for your pocketbook's well being after you realize every single set they make justifies a purchase). If you have even a slight use for any WWG product, do a favor for you and everyone else you game with: BUY. It's as simple as that.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: It's beautiful on paper, looks even better when constructed, and is far more functional than any plastic or resin pieces could ever be. What's NOT to like?<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Nothing, save the fact that I am now unable to even consider the concept of buying from a different company. It is akin to moving from a black and white television, to a High Definition set. What's the point in going back?<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Chunky Dungeons is spectacular!
I have been a WorldWorks Games fan since I found them in early 2003. What drew me to their models was the incredible and unparalleled texture quality of their terrain, and the great build quality.
What kept me with them is their continual innovation and improvements! Chunky Dungeons, while not a new set, is miles ahead of the first set I bought from them: DungeonWorks Classic. I have put together most of the pieces from CD, and I?ve got to say: this stuff is amazing!
The instructions are easy to follow, the work needed is straightforward, and the models are extremely solid once built.
This set also lends itself well to kitbashing: making it do what it wasn?t designed for. This versatility comes in very handy for those who don?t necessarily want to stick with the basic 1.5? grid.
I?m having a blast with this set, and I will be purchasing all of WorldWorks releases the moment I have a use for them! (And likely, I?ll get them just to drool!)
Thanks, Denny! Keep up the awesome work!<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Everything!<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: It comes designed for a 1.5" grid. I've been able to kitbash it for 1" just fine, though!<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

I've previously modeled with one of the complete sets of free 3D tiles, and they weren't anything to write home about. I built a demo piece from this set, and upon seeing the final product I immediately purchased the set.
The curved walls are the most difficult piece that I've built to date, but they're well worth the effort.
<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Exquisite detail; Walls that have a depth to scale with the dungeon environment, rather than being 'sandwich-glued'; The Pro Masterboard provides excellent stability; An instruction guide that provides excellent tips for finishing, such as edging the models.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The initial investment in time to build a Pro Masterboard.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Great product, excellent value. Easy to build, easy to use. Good fine detail in the textures. Every bit as good as many products that cost quite a bit more.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Very flexible design, the construction techniques make for a very sturdy end product. Lots of room for minis.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Just needs a diagonal wall piece to use in some complex layouts.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

INCREDIBLY AWESOME. I just love worldworks stuff. It's much much cheaper than Master Maze and with more variety. It definitely takes more effort to create (you have to glue everything together and it CAN take a while if you want enough pieces for a gigantic dungeon). However, you can just print out what you need to make for vastly more interesting encounters, battles, and general dungeon exploration.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Almost everything.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Scale was 1.5", but for compatibility with older worldworks stuff I wanted it printed at 1". Easy to do, just scale down when you print. I just wish Adobe could "remember" my desired scale for my PDF files. I guess that's adobe's fault really.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a gorgeously rendered terrain set with a lot of neat little extras to go with it. Be warned that the look is somewhat stylized rather than "realistic." However, I don't necessarily find that to be a negative trait, but some people (including people I game with) may find it to be a turn off. Once you see this thing built, you can not deny the artistry that went into creating it. The only really negative thing I will say about this is I would have preferred to have two sized floorplans included with it like some of the other sets. I really don't like the click games or miniatures and will never use them. 1" grids are much more useful to me. There is always scaling in Acrobat, though. All in all, I don't think anyone could be to disappointed in this purchase.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Much smaller download than the "other dungeon" product.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: 1.5" grid. This is nitpicking, but it really irks me. Click games are dead, dead, dead where I game.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This is a wonderful product and well worth the money.
I would like to compare "Chunky Dungeons" by World Works with "The Dungeon" by Stones Edges. The differences between these sets is that Chunky Dungeons has neat paraphenalia to go in the dungeon, but "The Dungeon" appears a little more realistic, professional looking. I got Chunky Dungeons first and later got The Dungeon. They are both very much compatible sizewise. The walls in Chunky are thicker though. The stairs in Chunky are not really nice looking, but The Dungeon has very realistic looking stairs. There are L shaped and curved, but not T or + shaped walls in Chunky. There are several curved types, L, T and + shaped walls in The Dungeon. The Dungeon also has 6 inch walls which makes building bigger rooms easier.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: It looks beautiful.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: It is a LOT of work to make enough walls and floors for just a few rooms. Longer walls would make this a little easier.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

I wouldn?t normally reply to a customer comment like this one but because it has such an ?abnormal? and heavy slant towards a competitors work without truly justified criticisms I feel that comments must be made. In other words: Your criticisms are appreciated but not when they attempt to call attention to competing products in an unfair and unbalanced way.
There are no "T" or "+" shaped connectors in Chunky Dungeons because we?ve created an easy to build universal connecting column system. This one simple column does double duty and makes the entire building process much easier for ?the gamer?. Everything within Chunky Dungeons has been created with the gamer in mind in terms of "build speed?. I would also like to point out that there is MUCH more included in Chunky Dungeons from dozens of props to a variety of hazards (This isn?t just walls and floors). All of this coupled with fully photographed and detailed written instructions for each prop and model (which is more than can be said for the competition). In terms of comparative "realism" I'm not really sure what this customer is using as a basis for that criticism. One of WorldWorks hallmarks is its ability to create highly detailed and realistic textures.
Just visit our website http://www.worldworksgames.com for examples of our work for your own comparison. In the end the best way to judge the quality of this product is by reading the hundreds of comments left by satisfied customers.
