I decided I was going to run a homebrew Ravenloft setting. This meant looking at old editions of everything and plotting. I am making my players go back in time and more or less it's time travel due to a Darklord's influence and the setting is in Barovia 10 years after the Curse of Strahd events when they played over 8 months ago.

When I saw this module, I was interested and took to it pretty quickly, I did change some minor things when running it, having my players go through this adventure but after the events of Strahd making his pact and becoming a darklord.

They adored the story, and once the soul was put to rest they were than able to return to their own time. They were shocked by the plottwist, they freaked out having to interact with Strahd and solve the issue of the girl. They saw Strahd in a monster but also a human light, which I feel is the most important.

The aventure is simple, fun and easy to follow, and it was a fantastic addition to even the Curse of Strahd setting. I highly approve and recommend it, it allows Strahd to slip in some more and it make an apperance!

This is a very sweet, subtle adventure that, with the right group, has the capacity to be wonderful. DMs would be well-advised to take the effort to bring the town of Aracos to life and fleshing out the main NPCs. The authors should be very proud.

The Song of Aracos is a perfect companion piece to Curse of Strahd. Immediate action draws your players in and sets them on an adventure that fits so well with the tone of the Adventure Path it hails from your players will never know they've deviated. I look forward to more from Lucas Carell.

I enjoy pre-made adventures when running D&D. Most times, I feel they are better than most of what I could come up with personally in the limited time I have available to prep. This one delivers that and more!

To begin, the document is beautiful and feels like it belongs in a dark and cursed land. The writing is complete, well-done and sparks so much imagination while delivering what you need to know in a concise way. There are notes sprinkled onto blood splatter giving advice on how to run encounters and what to do if (when) the players deviate from your plans.

One of my favorite things about this is that the villain's motivations are spelled out and can vary each time you run it and throughout a single play-through. I also really love the fact that each scene has a goal stated just under the scene title. This makes it easy to relate everything that happens in that scene back to where you need to be rolling.

Very well done. I'm going to have to find a place to insert this in my current campaign.

A great adventure whos character's actions make sense, and not just "I'm evil, BWAHAHAHA!" With mutiple ending options and wonderful characterizations, this is a must-have for anyone who wants to add a bit of creepy to any games.
