A great take on a little used area of magic items. Most people don't think twice about using a potion, but with these optional rules using a potion becomes a wonderful new adventure.

LIKED: The addition of the revised Brew Potion feat and the new feats add new life to the ability to Brew Potions. This is a sorely needed revision to the existing rules as I feel that the current Brew Potion feat severly limits its use once a spellcaster is able to cast 4th level spells.

DISLIKED: Nothing, really. It would have been nice to have maybe an adventure hook or two centered around the revised rules, but that doesn't detract from the overall product.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Now here's a way to add a little danger to something as simple as potions! Everything from explosions, mixed effects, and dangerous smoke is covered here. If magic isn't available in your game, or if you're out of spells and want some way of attacking and all you have are a couple of potion vials, check this one out! It makes PCs think twice before chucking two potions at once.

LIKED: Good backgroud and a lot of information.

DISLIKED: Not much

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
This well done PDF brings back some rules from previous editions of D&D in reguards to the dangers and chance effects from mixing potions. Included are a few Brew potion feats that will add some flavor for players and GM's.

This is a great add-on to a campaign, putting back some of the uncertainty of the 1st/2nd edition games when your players are brave/stupid/foolish enough to wonder just what happens if one combines two potions, or, more likely, desperate enough to down a second potion before the duration of a first has ended.

This suppliment brings back some of the randomness from 2nd ed D&D in mixing potions. There is a chart that lists random effects of mixing potions. Each effect lists what happens when you mix them externally or mixed internally inside a drinker. A few new feats are included and fills out this nicely. I am really liking this Forbidden Aracana series. It adds a few touches to rules that dont warrant a full blown 64+ page book at it is at a good price.
