This book is well recomended. It has quickened my "rules gathering" time considrably. The presentation is excellent (this book was, infact, so good that I went out to buy a bookbinding machine to bind it ;)). Cant wait for the next 2 in the series.

LIKED: everything

DISLIKED: This book was probably the best PDF I have purchased here for usefullness, therefore there is nothing I didnt like in this product.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Medieval Society Generators: The RPG Toolbox Vol 2
Publisher: Dimensions Game Software
by Roy R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 11/13/2003 00:00:00

A reasonable program. Its a good point to mention that all the tables and charts in this generator package is from "A Magical Medieval City Guide" by Expeditious Retreat Press. It has its uses, but I do think the asking price for this is a little steep especially as you can get excel files that do almost the same for free on the Expeditious Retreat website. I would rate this at 3 stars had it been $5 but at the price, Im afraid I can only give it 2.

Dweomercraft: Enchanters
Publisher: Dark Quest Games
by Roy R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 02/28/2003 00:00:00

A reasonable product. This book gives a number of new spells and insights into enchantment magics. Also some new feats and gods. Alas, this book is not great. The spells are interesting but there are a fair number of spells affecting cats and dogs for some unknown reason. The feats are a little unbalanced but could be worked with. I personally have all my gods "set up and running" so the gods section is of no use to me. If it was of use to me, I would rate the product 1 point higher. All in all, I am reluctant to say this book seems somewhat lame.

A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe
Publisher: Expeditious Retreat Press
by Roy R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 02/24/2003 00:00:00

The level of research gone into this product is incredible. It is a superb treatise on all things medieval. There are comprehensive tables and charts, and exellent systems for Land ownership, castle building, stewardship, and even a full economic simulator, giving costs and difficulties for purchasing goods in settlements of various sizes. This isnt a "dry" text. A book like this has a real danger of being only of interest to someone playing a RPG with total historical accuracy (I didnt mention mr. Gygax's "World Builder"...). The presentation of this book, while retaining facts of medieval lore, is a pleasure to read. I would rate the aforemention book "World Builder" (published at ?20) as a 3 star, but have no reservations of giving this superior product (in my opinion) 5 stars. Go buy it.

The Enchiridion of Treasures and Objects d'Art
Publisher: S.T. Cooley Publishing
by Roy R. [Verified Purchaser]

Personally, I believe this to be a fantastic rescource. It details a workable economic system and it corrects the flawed craft system from the core d20 rules. The system for creating low level magical items is great, and the compiled material rescource (detailing loads of gems and metals, and more) is a must have. There is also a very useful chart for difficulties to make items like tables, chairs etc. This is something that my players do often (dose everyone have players like that). All in all, a great product and reasonabbly priced considering the math and research gone into it. I cant wait to give one of my low level parties a suit of mildly enchanted Topaz chain mail. It heralds the end of the boring standardised treasures. Great work.

Forgotten Heroes: Paladin

$5 for this product..it should be at least $10. This book is superb. I recon even someone who usually finds Paladins boring or limiting will be persuaided to play a paladin after looking at this. Quality core classes, prestige classes, spells, feats, smite details, magic items, quests. This book rocks. I fully intend to buy every single product from the publishers of this book and I would be very suprised not to see it published in book format. Top stuff...

Book of Templates
Publisher: Silverthorne Games
by Roy R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 09/20/2002 00:00:00

30 templates! Now thats what I call a useful suppliment. An excellent product. If you have the Monster Manual alone (about 500 creatures), this product turns that number into 15,000 different creatures to scare and amaze your players with. One of the best products yet, almost up there with Malhavoc :P

A must buy.
