Nice selection of primarily copyirhgt-expired/pre-copyright open domain art which has previously served to illustrate the Arthurian tales. Not specifically sure of their origin, but the range is very nice, and will work well if you want to evoke a sense of the medieval and classic knights in your document. The scans transferred very well, too.

The art herein is perfect for adding a 'Ye Olde' feel. It is in two seperate styles, about half the images for each. The first set includes a fair number of color illustrations that may or may not work well with the b&w, depending on how you feel about mixing the two. I was disappointed to not find a volume II, though it should be possible to find more works by the artists in question with a bit of effort. Or even find someone who is willing and able to duplicate the style.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: I'm a believer in maintaining a consistent art style, and there is a broad enough range of subjects in either style to populate the typical rulebook.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Really no downside. As is clearly stated, these images are public domain. Thus, theoretically, one could go out and download these themselves. That said, however, time is money and if a $5 purchase can save me hours of searching, all the better! Half of the art is OUTSTANDING quality and all of it is usable.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Great art at a great price and you can't argue with the usage restrictions (none).<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: It's definitely focused on real-world medieval Europe and may not be useful in too wide of a range of projects. This is about as minor an issue as issues can get, though, and does not detract from the value of the set.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

This thing is chock full of really incredible art. It's all public domain, and any fan of Arthurian fiction and art is going to spot it right away, but the beauty is, you can do anything you want with it. Change it enough and you can even copyright it. The art is fantastic, but focused - if you're looking for Tolkien D&D, keep looking. However, the wide range of material means that if you have even a passing interest, there will be something here for you.

This is a good collection of public domain artwork from artists Arthur A. Dixon and George Wooliscroft and Louis Rhead. The revision includes all image files as individual tif or jpg files, and a brief explanation of what you can do with the images (anything you want). I think this is an excellent product.

Really bad, low-res clipart. Terrible waste of money. The other product from them, Question of Honor, is fantastic.
