UNORTHODOX Druids

Does what it says on the tin. Five variants of the druid class, neatly and competently presented and at a bargain price ($2). As you might expect, the major differences between the five versions herein and the regular book druid is in the different class feats.

Slight concern over the game balance. For example, the Survalist seems deadly (a druid who can use any weapon/armour combination) whereas the Caller seems weak compared to a regular druid (loses the wildshape ability in return for nothing much really). Still, this is nothing a competent DM couldn't sort out easily enough but you may find these classes are more suited to NPCs than your players.

Overall, this is a collection of interesting ideas for less than the cost of a sandwich.

Disposable Heroes Paper Minis (Fantasy)
Publisher: Precis Intermedia

I like the style of SJG's Cardboard Heroes and was looking for something similar. I found these paper minis to be more on the cartoony side. I also prefer full colour backs to the figures but these ones take the black silhouette approach.

So saying, they are quite nice in themselves and will definitely see some use in my games. They are well drawn and nicely coloured. Could have done with a few more good guys who are heavily outnumbered by the bad guys.

Now some advice for the publisher if they intend to produce any more figure packs (I would like to see more). The one thing that lets the product down is the layout. There's far too much white space and there's no (obvious) logic to how the figures have been laid out. For example, I will need a bunch of skeletons for my players to take on tomorrow. There are 5 nice skeletons figures in here, but they're spread over two pages and mixed in with a bunch of other folks. Keeping the same type of monster on the same page is a must for economical printing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently developing a system to allow you print duplicate minis on a page for when you need a pack of the same creature. There is a logic to the layout - it was to optimize the cutting out of the minis. Look for improvements in this set and others in future.

Incredibly detailed and flexible product. No need to look anywhere else for any kind of fantasy building card product.

Nice model and good detail. Artwork style rather than the more photorealistic Worldworks stuff but there's nothing wrong with that. A little tricky to put together but should be within most people's capabilities.
