If you want to take your party through an extended journey through the DOMAINS OF DREAD! and like me felt that while Curse of Strahd was cool but rather bare bones then this is the sourcebook for you. A tour of the lands and leaders beyond the borders of Barovia. Fear, horror, madness, secret societies, and more oh my!

Greatest book for Ravenlolft AD&D 2nd edition. Detailing everything about the history, places, faces and rules of the Ravenloft setting. Very happy I purchased the softcover reprint of the original, it is of excellent quality.

Excellent book, the final TSR version of the Ravenloft setting, and the first to seriously try and make it a world of its own (as opposed to a "weekend in hell" setting). It's also the most comprehensive overview of the setting you'll get in 2nd Edition, covering the then-latest versions of most of the domains and darklords invented at the time, as well as all the rules you'd need. Definitely recommended on that note.

Unfortunately, the scan is subpar - a fair number of pages are slightly crooked, and there's yellowing at the edges. Not as bad as some scans I've seen on dndclassics.com, since it's readable and it appears to be complete... but still disappointing, and enough to knock off a star.

Great setting, very well organized book. Centers on interesting NPCs that provide a number of different uses in-game.

However, this PDF has one glaring issue: at random, some pages won't let you highlight a single word on them for no apparent reason. I know this may seem like a minor complaint, but this is actually pretty important because its one of the best ways DMs have to quickly reference any critical bit of information that they need while running a game. This really needs to be fixed.

It was scary, but not dreadful. This will flesh out areas of the Ravenloft world in frightening detail. Not just for Hallowen!

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
