In the attempt to keep this to one page (one-sided), the writers skimped too mch on fleshing-out the beast itself, the NPCs, party options...Just too slight a product as-is. With development, this could be a fine one-shot adventure.

There are some translation issues as well, but that's not too big a deal.

I really enjoyed reading this one-shot adventure and will use it soon in my DMing (using Moldvay Basic D&D rules). Very well-written.

None are clunkers and all offfer inventive fun for a small, low-level group of PCs.

A great PWYW item! Easily inseretably into any old-school fantasy RPG game (PC levels 4 or so).

The premise of an old lost race, ruins in what could be an exotic locale, and - most importantly - lots of options for a DM to add creatures of their own - make this really useful.

Pretty fun short adventure. It could be run easily after a single read and some work with its maps.

I didn't rate it at 5 stars due to the maps. It feels like in a measure to save space, the author opted for a crampt map style. I'd have preferred the maps to be spread over two pages. To run this adventure well, prospective DMs should have a copy of the map handy and re-read the map before play.

I also feel the adventure, as written, is little more than a series of inter-related events with no real plot. We get a location, creepy critters, and nothing else, really.

That said, it'll make for a session of fun. Gross-out fun, at that!

Typical grammatical and punctuation issus are seen througout this short adventure.

The adventure has some oddities - why would the bandits allow the hermit to live among them?

How do the bandits amd hermit deal with the acid water?

How does the shop work at 5' by 5'? How can more than one person shop at a time? I made it 50' by 50'. How can it sell only those items?

I like the random d6 method to see where the PCs end up in the sewers, but a standard map might be better. I did enjoy this mechanic, though.

3.5. Needs work to run it, but in the end, worth it.

Rife with grammatical errors. Ignore those and you've got a decent straight-forward introductory advenute.

The one-on-one option at the beginning was a smart choice.

TPK could loccur in the final encounter if too many of the creatures are freed at once from their cages. A way to get these beasts back to nature with little threat to the PCs should be rewarded for thoughtful players.

I hope the author will be more careful or hire an editor for future projects, but the basic adventure itself is fine.

I'm a spell junkie, so that made this a must-buy. I like many of the spells in this short package - they remind me of the 1e AD&D Unearthed Arcana spells in a fun, nstalgic way.

Well done! Very handy form. I've used it already. Nice and simple.

Gothic in feel, yet standard FRPS (5e) and easily adaptable.

My one quibble (and it's truly mine, as a GM, not as a slight to the writing of this adventure) is that only to "damned if you do/damned if you don't" outcomes seem to befall the NPCs the heroes are supposed to help. I'd have liked a different outcome possibility, but perhaps that just wasn't possible.

A VERY vague "well, if the players can figure a way out of the contract, then huzzah" option exists, but with no further input about possible looopholes.

Despite this, I enjoyed this adventure.

Super handy! It's a go-to for any fantasy game I run on-the-fly or on short notice.

I want to like this little adventure more than I do, but there are some problems I can't get around:

What do the critters in the sealed-off dungeon feed upon to survive?

If the giant rats are sliced to bits by the hallway trap, how could they get through the hall to cause trouble for the brewery?

A for effort, F for flaws in logic. So, a C effort. Probably great to run for kids, but not for older folks.

Lots of devotion and effort went into this.

However, I found the rule too "crunchy," to the point that combat slowed down during the game. Might be right for others (see the 5-star reviews), but I can't see these rules being of much use for me and those I game with. We'll stick to D&D.
