Detailed and dense sourcebook for Mystara, and full of ideas, NPCs, and factions for a homebrew setting.
Overall a solid setting book. A bit of a dense read at times, and some of the material isn't presented in the most clear way. This is more a product of the writing style for these kinds of suppliments at the time. Obviously a vital suppliment for anyone running a nautical campaign in Mystera.
I ended up using this as a base for my homebrew setting in my 5th edition game. The NPCs, guilds and adveture hooks were all great. I used some of them virutally unchanged, and others I was able to easily adapt to meet some of my setting specific elements. I ended up using this quite a bit during session prep and found it very helpful. My players enjoyed a lot of the flavor this book provided. I would highly recommend it for anyone running a island based game that is focusing on trading and guild intrigue.
