This is great!

Sadly, I found it too late to let my players use it during character creation, but I like that it gives me an easy option for loot drops when they find humanoid bodies!

Thank you!

A well focused and priced product that gives you exactly what it says on the tin: 38 brand-new equipment packs, 5 modified packs from the PHB, and new 2 kits of equipment to add to vendors. The PHB equipment pack changes are very sensible: as a Dungeon Master if my player had asked "Shouldn't I get a flask of holy water as a priest?", I would have let them have it for free with the Priest's Pack.

These new packs fit right in with the PHB ones and are sure to be a source of inspiration during character creation. I am particularly fond of the idea used in the document that allows small tweaks to the pack contents by paying more/less: for example in the Monk's Pack you can "Strap a 25 feet of hempen rope to the side of it for 5 gp (+5 lb.)" The extra attention to detail shows in how the author has also included the change in weight of the pack for these tweaks.

In addition to the 23 background or class based packs such as a "Hermit's Pack" that include several items primarily for flavor, the document also includes 8 armor and weapon bundles like a "Swashbuckler's Bundle" containing only, well, armors and weapons. While not exactly my cup of tea, I can see these being useful for quickly rolling up new characters ready for battle.

For a Dungeon Master the 7 racial bundles are a quick way to fill out your monstrous NPCs' inventories with something worth looting, however, there are not many of them.

The "horse kit" provided with the document are something that I did not know I needed but will now immediately include at the stables in my world. They contain a handful of items for taking care of your newly purchased mount. A great way to speed up the purchase process!

The addition of a homebrew carrying capacity rule to this product seems a little extraneous but I suppose if you don't want to go with the full encumbrance rules, you've got a middle of the road option here.

This product contains precisely what you need if you're looking for additional equipment packs. Highly recommended!

Edit: The review has been updated to reflect version 2.5 of the PDF.

Thank you so much for the review! I have just published version 2.5. (apparently shortly after you wrote this), which includes corrections and the new artificer pack.

Love the packs, instead of offering the starter sets I let my player's pick one of a certain value. Also I've had my player's coming across other parties/adventurers and use this as quick inventory list.

This is a really, really cool and fun expansion to one of my absolute favorite aspects of equipment shopping in D&D 5e: Packs!

Now I have a lot more options for my characters and my players' characters. This supplement contains both "expanded" versions of some of the basic packs found in the PHB, but also gives you a bunch more profession-based, background-based, and even race-based packs to further customize your character. The packs are well thought out, flavorful, and contain really good sets of items that really seem to convey their uses.

In addition to all the new packs, you get a bunch of equally cool "bundles" that basically are the same idea as packs, as far as "character type X would maybe have this stuff," but applied to weapons and armor.

I can't wait to have some new players make characters using these options as opposed to the (great, but now a little routine feeling) PHB equipment sets!

For this very specific purpose, this is a great product and the kind of thing that has been thoughtfully put together. I like both the packs and the armor/arms bundles. This builds off of the few examples shown in the main books and expands it out to a variety of backgrounds. This isn't rocket science, but for $0.50, this gives you an easy way to pick things at character creation.
