Old school spells for villains. Don't put PC's on to this content wihout consequences.

To be honest, I personally am not too impressed by the spells. I was expecting some serious anti life spells and there were only a few in here. All in all the spells are interesting and have some serious capability but they aren't flashy enough for my taste. I would recommend if you want to run a pure necromancer character, otherwise you're better off without.

Love the little details in this, like the artwork and the flavor given to some of the material components (Longevity is a particular favorite). As well-balanced as 5e spells can be, plus some awesome higher level stuff (Raise City?!?). Definitely fills a much-needed gap in spells for not just wizards, but also clerics, warlocks, & other casters.

Very glad to have a more fleshed out archetype. i give it 5 stars for meeting a need players have had since the release of 5e.

I am so glad the author put this together! Something the game has been missing and that is a defined Necromancer class. Although this is not the class, it does go a long way to allowing a player to fluff a spellcaster to look the part.

A great resource for those players, and Dungeon Masters, looking to add a little more Necromancy to their D&D 5E games. The book is attractive, well layed out, and easy to read. The spell selection covers all the nasty necromancy spells from 3E that didn't make it into 5tE.
