If you're gonna play or run Wraith, you've GOTTA have this book. Lots of setting info, insight into Harrowings (even if the mechanic is first-ed.), and, most importantly, new guilds and their corresponding Arcanoi. There's something deeply sinister about the Solicitors, something TERRIBLE about the Mnemoi, and something twisted about the Alchemists...but you need this book to use them! You'll thank me later, especially if you intend to run Ends of Empire.

Did you like The Crow? You'll love this book. True, Risen are SICK powerful, but that isn't the point (or, at least, it shouldn't be). Playing a character THIS DRIVEN is a real experience.

A must-have. Almost too beautiful for words, not a trace of sappiness. Very sad at points.

DON'T read this book alone at night. Just...don't. Trust me.

Time of Judgement my Aunt Fannie; THIS is the way to end a line. It wraps up virtually everything important and ends catastrophically, yet satisfying. If you run Wraith, and you want to end your chronicle with the End of the Empire, THIS IS THE BOOK.

Can't comment on the PDF of this book yet (used to own the hardcopy but it vanished), but, for content, this book is great. If you like having shadows in the game at all, this can only add to your game. New Thorns, tips on playing shadows, all kinds of great stuff. I can see how the white-on-black PDF would be unfavorable, of course, but based solely on content, I gotta go 4/5 at least.

White Wolf Publishing's greatest artistic success...and biggest comercial failure. It doesn't matter what you've heard; this game is NOT about death. It's about life, and appreciating what you had while alive. Is your character dead? Yes. But in Wraith, at least, death grants a remarkable clarity on life. Phenomenal game.
