This is going straight into my campaign and will fit beautifully! Absolutely looking forward to volume 2.

Three solid new cleric domains that fit in well with the domains from the PHB. Each looks well flavored and well balanced. The only ding I could give would be that the abilities in the Retribution domain are all combat focused and so the character has fewer out of combat options but that really comes with the domain.

I love the idea behind this book and the book itself and am anxiously looking forward to seeing more in the series. This one in particular takes the Noble background from the PHB and turns it into 6 distinct backgrounds that are all variations within the theme of a noble. The only negative that I can bring up is that the layout is a little drab and it would be well served by going to a two column format to aid readability.

For a race I've never heard of before this, the Slythe fit remarkably well into the Underdark. The racial traits look balanced and there's enough ribbons to make the race distinctive both in tone and in play. Really well done!

First and foremost, this PDF is just beautiful. The layouts, the graphics, even the font selection all contributes to this being a beautiful book. Second, this book is about perfect to serve as the centerpiece as a wild west campaign whether with or without magic. The archetypes are thoughtful and well executed. I cannot come up with a single negative thing to say other than I want more.

If you ever have difficulty in coming up with details and backgrounds regarding NPC's or player characters, the heaping pile of tables here will give you plenty of inspiration and if needed, it can largely fill in the information you need. The only reason I dinged it a star is because there isn't an index and this is a 50 page PDF with literally dozens of tables to help in generating a character.

Thanks for the feedback - I\'ll do my best to add an index as soon as I can. |

Just added an index for the tables, thanks again for the excellent feedback. |

Magic items with enough personality that you can think not just about the type of character that would have these items but about the type person who would have them. My only significant negative is that for a couple of the items the mechanics seemed perhaps a tiny bit over-complicated. But even with that in mind, I'm very comfortable giving the book a 5 star rating and it was well worth my $2.

This is something our group has struggled with now and then because this isn't really handled in any of the core books. I like the match ups between monster type and skill and I really like the table that describes how having a better success on the skill check gives more information. On the other hand, I think the class affinity seem a little forced. Almost as if they were trying to find something for every class to be good at. Our group is more likely to grant the affinity bonus more on whether the individual character can justify it... for example, a fey patron warlock has good reason to know more about fey.
All in all though, it's a far better approach to the issue than what is currently in the core books.

Hello there and thank you for the review! One of the great things about Sidebars is that they are just discussions between you and I trying to hash out a rule and make it work for your group. It seems like this one did the trick! If you have any questions just ask! |

This is just plain cool. The races are amazing and every one I read made me want to play it which is about the highest compliment I can give. The races feel balanced and while they can easily be part of Forgotten Realms, they could also fit into many other kinds of settings and could even have a setting wrapped around them. Seriously, beautifully done. The only negatives I could come up with are that the art feels a little contrary to the style used in 5th edition books and that the page numbers on the table of contents are off (at least in the version I have). This book is absolutely worth the $2.50 I paid for it.

The feats are interesting and the power levels aren't unreasonably out of balance. Some may be slightly better than those found in the PHB (Weapon Expert is a very solid feat here) while some might be slightly under-powered (Bargainer). But even that being so, the feats are well flavored and it's easy to see how certain feats contribute to the overall feel and temperament of a character. As a very minor critique, the background page texture is really pixelated and on some pages misaligned. This is a very minor issue at worst. Overall, this PDF is well worth your dollar.

A good short supplement. The beasts provided all look reasonable and range from CR 1 thru 4. As noted elsewhere, the large sized beasts should have a d10 hit die instead of a d8 but that's the only significant flaw I can find.

Definitely worth the 50 cents, the flavor is awesome, the look is awesome, and there's plenty of crunch with some spells pulled from Unearthed Arcana and collects the demons from the SRD into a single document as a Demonomicon. The negative is minor being that it presents information about making the blood circle mentioned in the spells but there's no real rules for handling, collecting, and keeping the blood. How much do I get from a slain human? How about a halfling? At least within our own group we'd probably bypass that rule to avoid the extra accounting.
As a note to the author, please consider pairing this with a Diabolist for a devil summoner counterpart.

The feats are definitely appealing and I think my group will definitely enjoy them. I docked one star because the middle pages are presented two across so it's difficult to scroll through and very difficult to print. I really hope the author will adjust that in future versions.

Exceptionally well flavored and very interesting. One of my gaming group is already desperate to play with this. I docked one star because the 10th level ability providing condition immunity is definitely overpowered (perhaps it needs to be restricted by long rest). The 14th level ability probably needs a little tweaking... perhaps having it be a temporary transformation instead of a permanent transformation. I'd be tempted to make it a daily option where you choose to use the royal jelly or consume it for a daily transformation.

A good solid background with enough options to be flexible. Well written and nicely presented.
