The 2nd edition Player's Handbook is a decent scan of a book in good shape. One chronic difficulty with scans of 2nd edition material is that a lot of the books were printed on glossy paper that turns out to be hard to scan. Still, the artwork is the best of all the editions except the later 1st edition stuff; however, the Monster Manual 2 is about the only one of those books that made it to RPGnow. In any case, it's MUCH better than the 3-3.5 edition art.
This is great if you want to play a 2nd edition game or want a digital copy of the book you have or use to have, and makes a good reference for things that didn't show up in later editions (spells, etc.). I would suspect it's much better for people who already know the book and just want a digital copy.

LIKED: Decent scan of a book in good shape. Ah, the art brings back good memories! It's much better than the 3rd edition art, too.

DISLIKED: The glossy paper on the original makes the scan worse than it could be, but I'm not sure there's much that can be done about that -- I doubt the people who originally produced it anticipated it going digital!

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
