Good enough, wonderful line art and b&w. If this is what you are into then get it! If you are looking for lush color don't look here but the pieces are great for generic space games!

LIKED: Well put together.

DISLIKED: That it was very generic. Though I am sure that was by design.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
This set includes a variety of graphics of varying quality levels. The larger art pieces of the best, while the collection of "head art" is the weakest. Unfortunately, most of them are along a very strong space opera slant. I would almost call it a Buck Rodgers feel, in that many of them incluce heavily exaggerated depictions of the "heroes" of the series doing various things. This limits the usefulness of the collection as a whole, though there are still some elements that can find a use in a project.

LIKED: Presenation of the art is excellent. Individual TIF files are accompanied by a PDF archive for easy reference when sorting through the art.

DISLIKED: I would say most of the art would never be usable in a project that was not directly tailored to the content. If you were putting together a book that centered around the antics of this particular melange of characters you would be fine, but otherwise there are too many "group shots" that I don't think would work outside of a proper context.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
This is a fine kit of clipart for science fiction games. I will be using a few of these images in an upcoming science fiction project, because they have a general sci-fi feel appropriate to that project. However, some of these images are specific to some setting that I am unfamiliar with (bear telepaths or something), so I can't use those. Overall, I'm pleased.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
I was a fan of Pacesetter's excellent "Star Ace" line -- the source of the art in these collections. (Not, as one reviewer erroneously stated, 1930s line art -- which I also would pay top dollar for, but I digress). ;)

Unlike other "clip art" I've purchased here, the artwork contained in all three of these collections is well scanned, at sufficient resolution for good, high-end print uses.

Excellent (if dated) stuff.

In general, the aliens and characters featured are pretty "Star Ace" specific (especially the telekinetic polar bears), but the spaceships and vehicles and action scenes are generally useful for any pulpy space opera.

BEWARE!!! This is the cheesiest collection of "clipart" that I have ever seen! It's entirely made up of line-art from the 30's!

I purchased both the Sci-Fi Clip-Art Collection One and Collection Two. These are by far the best looking images in a clipart packaged I've purchased, and I just wish I was working on a sci-fi product so I could use them. As soon as I start working on a sci-fi product, I will definately purchase the third collection.

I just wish these guys would release a good package of fantasy clipart. I would buy that without thinking twice.

It cost five bucks, so I can't complain a whole lot. But the art was not that awesome, for the most part, and several pieces just plain sucked. I kind of wish I hadn't bought it.

Great, great, great. I love art. I love using to to get my characters into the game and into the situations I'm doing my damndest to describe. Anything that helps me transport my characters into the game is welcome, and the art here was very easy to integrate into my stories, and for that I am greatful. As to the art itself, it's almost all line art. It's good stuff, but to use it you of course need the full version of Acrobat. Or at least I did. Anyway, if you're looking for visual aids to help you get your players into space, you can't go wrong with this product.
