Sometimes the title of a book tells us all we need to know. Another 101 Mundane Treasures is precisely that. It?s a good sequel to the first book called 101 Mundane Treasures. It is also one in the line of the 101 series Philip Reed has been doing. Each book covers a rather narrow topic in depth and detail.
This twenty two page pdf is filled with none magical treasures ready for any person to use in a campaign. The treasures are designed for a fantasy setting but there are a few the silk noble shirt and fur shoes that could be used in a more modern setting. The art, as usual, is done by Christopher Shy. It?s stylistic and adds a nice sense of continuity across the line of books since he does the art for them all.
The book starts with a simple introduction and how the book can be used. It is intended for the Game Masters more then the Player Characters but it could be an okay reference for the characters to investigate interesting mundane artifacts. Each entry follows a simple format. The name of the item is given first, followed by a short description on its appearance. After that it has the DC for appraise checks, then a value for the item, and lastly any special rules are the object uses.
The items in the list are some truly mundane ones like a Clay Jug filled with wine or a golden candlestick. Some of the items are a little more exotic like goblets made of dragon?s teeth and a Unicorn?s Flute. The items are sometimes common and sometimes just plain odd like mat of rice straw or a ragged smock.
The pdf contains many items. All of them are declared OGL for people who like that sort of thing. All in all it is a useful pdf to help expand and detail the treasure piles and decorations the PCs seem to like to get their hands one.

This is the only 101 themed packs I have ever gotten and the only one I have ever referrred to others.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: All of the great new ideas and easily insertable trasures.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: A little more than I would normally spend.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

Overall, I think that this product is very useful for a DM who has either forgotten to create some unique and interesting treasures or DMs who fall into repetitive traps with treasure. This book is not for players who do not DM. After reading both 101 Mundane PDFs, I definitely have a good feel for how to create better treasure for the heroes to enjoy and I think that I will be better able to create my own or customize or use the items presented in the books.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: 1) Good ideas.
2) Includes portable, valuable mundane items often overlooked.
3) Nice presentation and excellent art.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: There was appraisal information with each item (a good thing), but some of it was too detailed for the initial once over. For example, your PCs shouldn't know "this half-plate was the property of an orc warlord some 600 years ago," just by looking at it without some skill in Knowledge (history).<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

This PDF has added colour and interest to my game in an area which i had previously ignored. I can't praise the book enough.

I liked this one a lot. While I might not use the exact item, but I got some neat ideas form it. :) I think that if you are lookign for something new for the players to come a cross this is somthing you should get some time.

A collection of reasonably diverse and fairly described mundane miscellania for the party to loot from their defeated, but well and stylishly appointed, foes. Not everything will suit everyone, of course, but that's why there's 101 of them, ne?

Definately enough new original ideas to make it a good buy to pick up with 101 Mundane Treasures. I found that both books were very well done and definately worth the price.

While there was at least one minor error in the black and white version of the PDF, this product is just as incredible as the original. Tons of items, tons of ideas, and al easily added or altered to fit any campaign. Multiple PDFs for on screen or printed reading, and plenty of the items contain seeds for adventures or at least small diversions. You can't go wrong with this for the price.

This is a great set of items to be placed in treasure hordes or curiosity shops in a town. They are not meant to be powerful items to give abilities or powers in the game. They add a nice touch of flavor and are perfect idea starters for new quests or adventures.

This suffered from all the problems of the previous volume. Still worth having, but there was a pronounced lack of contextual information, which again meant a lot of work integrating it into my campaign.

Excellent work. Easily adaptable, inspirational, and well-organized. This is what a D20/D&D PDF supplement should be.

Not much to add that others haven't said previously. I recommend this high quality product from Ronin Arts.
