What I especially like with these sets are the "extras". This set has a cart and stuff for the open merchant stalls, a cook house with a roasting pig and kettle over a fire, and the open blacksmith stall with his equipment. The signs for the buildings are separate, so if you want to call the building something else, you can. If not, you can put the sign where ever you want. The set offers versatility, within limits, but I've had a lot of fun with them. As buildings to set up a diorama go, I think these COLOR sets are great. Especially for beginners. The colors are good, as are the details. Their construction is fairly straight forward and simple, but with enough extras to keep them from being boring: for example, roof top or side chimneys, steps with and without rails, plain or fancier roofs, ornate gates and brick fences, etc. Highly recommended.

A great way to bring a village to life, off of the map sheet and onto the table.

This is an excellent set that I incorporated into my of my 18th century dioramas. Very nice detail. I really like this company, they produce some very nice stuff.

I'm a big fan of this series beacause of the simplicity and the simple look of each building. Not overly detailed, and it doesn't need to be. Recommended.

Again, this set is useful because of all the cool different stuff they've included with it. The merchant's stalls are stuff you won't find anywhere else, and the smithy is a challenging but cool building to construct. And $6.00! That's a steal.
