This is an excellent product for managing and running your campaigns. I like it so much, I use it for my d20 modern, d20 Future, and two different DnD campaigns. It is too in-depth to use on a one-time basis; you really have to commit to it. However, it is easy to input info, customize the info that comes with the program, and bring it up on the fly, that any ongoing campaign could profit from its use.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Concise yet thorough rules for using madness in the d20 modern game without introducing strange or bulky mechanics. This set of rules is extremely useful for introducing a psychological element to your game. I really like it.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
A very useful and time-saving product. All the spell-casters in my group use them.

As usual, the Game Mechanics do a good job at presenting solid material for d20 Modern. I especially enjoy the rules for lesser incantations and use it extensively in a low-magic setting I DM.

Very good service. If I didn't want instant gratification, I would use it more often. The extras that come on the CD are pretty cool too.

Very good product; especially valuable for low- or no-magic settings. The feats and classes are well balanced, and the equipment packages save incredible amounts of time when generating characters

Publishers note - We realise that this review gives us 5 stars but that is not the reason why we would like to give this reviewer 5 stars in return, this review is well written and gives a feel for the book without listing the contents of the book chapter by chapter, as so many reviewers seem to do nowadays, all in all this is what a review should be like. Year of the Zombie is about much more than zombies, its a D20 based source book, easily adaptable to most game systems, for a post apocalyptic world, with or without Zombies - Personal note I do think the zombies make a fiendish foe though. |

Absolutely terrible. Elements in the maps are out of proportion to one another and the layouts are often unrealistic.

Pretty good. Not very balanced with existing magic using classes; you either need to adopt the classes that come in the book or put in some serious conversion time. Still, there is a lot of good stuff here; if a more exotic, point-based magic system is what you are after, then this document will save you a lot of trouble in implementing one.

Okay product. It mostly focuses on what sorts of things need to be considered when developing your own d20 scifi setting, while providing info on many generic topics so that you can maintain consistency. For people looking for chunky stats, this is not your book. However, if you want advice on how to ensure your world makes sense, then get this.

Very good product. Really gives players an incentive to not throw out their old weapons, when used judiciously.

Pretty good; would be better if the third installment ever came out, but that seems unlikely to happen. Still, it is well thought out and offers a great, but incomplete, starting point for anyone wanting to create their own d20 sci-fi setting.
