If you have the time and patience, this is an excellent product. All data for a campaign setting must be entered manually, from racial data to equipment. There isn't really much support from other users, even on the Yahoo group. They do have a few setup files there, but usually not what you're looking for, which leads us back to the start of this review.

Are they ever going to do a 3.5 update??? Not worth your time if you have upgraded to the new core rules.

Probably the best campaign manager of several I've used. easy and straightforward to use, very comprehensive. Could be updated a little more often.

It is a good program for generating NPCs and keeping track of lots of the details that come up as games progress. It's usefulness at the game table is limited, however, beyond creating characters.

Very versitile. Was able to add all THe current Iron Kingdoms infoe with just a wee bit of hard work.

This is a truly outstanding product. In addition, the staff at Twin Rose is very friendly and helpful. I had a minor problem installing the software, but was able to get help from the Vice-President of the company at 10 pm by chat. the next day, I swapped emails with Chris, the software designer and Pres. Needless to say, the problem was solved and only involved changing the extention of the file to .exe

These are the kind of folks the gaming community needs to support. You can do almost anything you need to for a d20 game and it is not difficult to learn. I am looking forward to using this program for a long time to come.

Great piece of software and the expansions avaiable add even more to Campaign Suite.

All in all a very nice product. However, it does have some issues with WindowsXP. Twin Rose has put out several updates for Campaign Suite so far and some have had better compatability with my OS than others. Some menu features are currently unavailable to me due to the bugs and others give an error but can be worked around. It would easily be 5/5 if it wasn't for the bugs.

I bought this supplement quite awhile ago, and I have to say it is a most useful aid in running my game. What I like best about CS is the way I can customize it to whatever game I am running. Although a die-hard d20 DM, I often play DragonStar, Darwin's World, and other non-traditional games. Being able to add in my own classes is a huge plus.

If you need some help streamlining adventure creation and campaign management, and especially if you (like me) actually run your game from your PC, this is a must have.

This is a great product for the money. The graphics could be a little better, but operationally it works great. An entire campaign can be created, stored, and ran from this software. All in all it is a great product and a good price.

Downloaded this product after a recommendation from a friend who said it helped him immensely. At first I thought he was joking. No software helps you as much as he was boasting. Or so I thought. I got teh trial and installed it. Character generator. Alright. Thats in many software. Flcik through. Nice. Its got the extra classes that many dont have. Moved onto the next bit. The mapper. Now while it looked simple, easy to use, I decided to see if it was. Well, after a little while, I made a nice little dungeon (5 infact) in easy order. This product was starting to look good in my eyes. Now, what was this next tab.hmm.....campagn manger thing. Now this is where it came into its own for me. What more could I want! With this part I could make new classes, easily make NPCs, edit items, skills,feats, raecs, classes, professions, monsters, enoucnter tables, enoucnter! EVERYTHING! And upon visiting the site http://www.multiweave.com/trose/home I discovered that there is more to come! So, all in all, I can say I bought the product. It was definately worth my $$. Excellent, and a must have for any budding GM or even players!

I've spent a hour or so playing around with a demo of this program. Beyond its basic interface is a useful tool to build and maintain campaign data, from individual monster races, characters, adventures, maps, character races, skills, feats and so on, and also to share this data; loading seperate configuration files and/or monster files will allow persons using this program to share data amoung DMs or a far flung PBEM group.

The Basics: At each edit or addition in a field the Suite will automatically update other pertinent fields. I created a half dozen monster types in a couple minutes with the Suite doing all the math and figuring base hp and combat bonuses and all the other 'technical' details. Character generation was easy too, the only thing lacking was an easy way to store text descriptions and back story. Character generation and the map feature has attractive print formats.

Downside: The map editor is fairly basic but I had problems getting it to do things i wanted, but i am 'graphic programs challenged,' and I got some strange responses when I was mismatching race and class. The program would appear to let me do it but the sheet that was to be printed had a more appropriate class a half-orc rogue instead of the half-orc paladin. But as noted the configuration of the classes and races can be changed to allow the half-orc paladin if that is what you really want.

Upside: It is fast. It is easy. it is configurable and perfect way to get the basics of a homebrew d20 campaign world out to a targeted audience.

What is available with the demo are the typicle 3E character races, encounter and item tables, weapons and equipment, feats, classes, and skills, each configuable to taste. Though the application is not geared to any game or genre.

I would like to add that I am not great follower of the d20 system beyond its similarities to AD&D 2E and a few things I happen across on the net. But I have had a few campaign and character editors and this one does more than most that I can think of offhand and for a small free demo I think it is worth visting the site and checking out the program.

I have recently purchased Campaign Suite and I must say that both the company and the program are excellent. It doesn't have everything I want or need and there are some slight bugs but that is where the company shines. I had reported a bug and withing a few hours there was a patch! Amazing! I have given a few suggestions on things I would like to see in the program and I have gotten a response personally for each and every one. Some were either already slated for a future update (that come frequently!) or were taken into account and told that they may be put in later down the road. The program is easy to use, does most things needed to make a character/adventure, easily configurable to my custom campaign, and low priced. Money well spent!

This software doesn't get a 5/5 for me. Mainly due to the things that still need fixing with it. Mainly like the help files are from what I can see a little off (maybe just not up to date and need updating?). The character generater in and of itself is useful and good and I can find little to nothing wrong with it. The campaign manager included in this is a great idea and the way it allows you to alter skills, feats, races and classes is excellent. Editing monsters, while tedious with not being able to click,open drop down menu with everything, nor due to OGL issues being able to list every monster there for you, is very easy to use and understand. Now here is one of the big things for me. Map editing. Something EVERY DM needs if they dont use pen and paper like me is a good map editer. Now while this is no flashy bells and whistles editer, it does the job and allows note editing when coupled with the campaign manager which is al nice and easy to use. Now, how many of you out there have been in a situation where your program stuffs up for some unknown reason adn you cant ever seem to get a real person, or sometimes a response at all from tech support? Well, I know I've been in that boat many a time and was happy when I went to Chris with a complaint and problem, he dealt with it almost right away and is releasing the update for it all now. All within 24 hours which to me is great. For me this products gets the thumbs up and now all I want is for more stuff to be relased under OGL so it can be added and I can get the updates. ;)

The software is fine as long as you don't plan to do anything original. The method for entering new races or prestige classes is very unclear. The interface is clumsy and the help files are a joke. They don't answer basic questions. If you like preserving the status quo, then this ones for you.
