I was looking to add a little bit of that AD&D feel to my 5e game and this helped provide some ideas. Well worth the money. If you look at it like a plug in (which should be obvious by the term "mode" in the title) it works as intended.

So happy this is available POD. This was one of the first D&D books I purchased with my hard earned lawn mowing money back in the early 80s. I lost that copy when my basement flooded many years later. I like 5e a lot, but the DMG feels very truncated compared to the 1E DMG. The scan looks great, the searchable PDF is amazingly useful and the information in the book itself is as useful now as it was back in '81.

This product has some nice information about a subject that is referred to a lot in the D&D core books, but isn't really fleshed out very well. However, there is a lot of filler pages (i.e. full page pictures of various Fey scenes and creatures with no text) so the page count is a little bit inflated. I was hoping for more crunch for the price. But, what is there is useful.

I really like the options this provides for expanding the Necromancer's options over the PHB version without creating an entirely new sub-class. Well done.
