e-Adventure Tiles: Dungeon Details Vol. 1
Publisher: SkeletonKey Games
by Walter J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 04/17/2006 00:00:00

This is a nice set. The details sets are all rather specilized and you should make sure you want whatever is in the set or you may be disapointed. This set has a large pool, prison cells, and areas with sarcophagus. It also has some corridors and room corners and middles with webs. It also has five tiles with smaller rooms.

While a detail set, the details are all useful in most dungeons.

LIKED: The cell and sarcophagus tiles are especially nice.

DISLIKED: I wasn't that excited about the five tiles of corridor and room pieces with webs.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied

[THIS REVIEW WAS EDITED]
This is what is says: Small Chambers. The good is they look nice and many have original shapes.

LIKED: Small Chambers. No more massive 50x50 chambers only.

DISLIKED: The thing I don't like is that unless you cut the squares up at the doors you can see what the room behind the door is. This may be a problem for some.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Crypt of Blood

If you don't have Adventure Tiles 1 or 2, I would suggest you get one of those first. This set could be connected to either Adventure Tiles 1 or 2 or Cave Chambers or Cave Passages.

This is a great looking specialized small set. Including the bonus tiles, there are 18 different tiles in the set. The set allows you to make large rooms of at least 80x60 with sarcophagi. To utilize the center room sections you will have to make 80x80 foot rooms. However, some of the center wall sections segment off parts of the this large room so you could have the room divided into up to nine connected chambers. Along with the room corners, entrances and center sections, there are 3 corridor pieces and a small ?blood pond? room on one tile. There is also a page with six sarcophagi singles.

I really like this set, it is perfect for what is does - create a crypt like area with a blood theme.

LIKED: Everything. :o)

DISLIKED: Nothing.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
e-Adventure Tiles: Dungeons Vol. 2

Adventure Tiles 2 If you don't have Adventure Tiles 1, I would suggest you get that one first, though this set could stand alone.

This is a nice generic set that builds upon Adventure Tiles 1. The corridors share the walls of some rooms and you can make some smaller 20x50 foot rooms. I would have given the set 5 stars except for one thing - the rooms are off a standard 10' grid.

Let me explain: Most dungeons you buy or make are scaled to each square being 10 feet by 10 feet. I would have like to be able to use this set to recreate these very generic maps.

All the corridor tiles are in multiples of 10 feet. There are really two different types of room pieces - those similar in size to the 50x50 plus sized rooms of Adventure Tiles 1 and some smaller 10x25 foot room sections that can be used to make a smaller 20x50 rooms.

Different from Adventure Tiles 1, all the corridors connect to the smaller rooms directly. There are some interesting pieces so you can create some different looking rooms when combined with Adventure Tiles 1.

If you just want to throw out a great looking random dungeon using the tiles - this set works great. If you want to use the tiles to recreate some standard dungeon map then having the rooms ?off? by 5 feet is annoying.

LIKED: Nice looking.

DISLIKED: Rooms not on 10x10' grid

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Adventure Tiles 1

This is a nice generic set that has standard 10x30 corridors, ?T? and ?+? intersections and 50x50+ large rooms.

Unfortunately all the room tiles connecting to corridors have a 5 foot corridor leading in the room. Because of this every room is ?off? a standard 10'x10' grid by five feet even though all rooms end up in multiples of 10 feet. Because of this ?5' stub?, all corridors leading to a room are also a multiple of 5' instead of 10'. It's easy enough to fix the corridor length by trimming, but putting the rooms back on the 10x10 grid is not easy because the room are all designed 5' off the 10' grid if you use any of the tunnel going into the room's corner transitions.

If you just want to throw out a great looking random dungeon using the tiles - this set works great. If you want to use the tiles to recreate some standard dungeon map then being ?off? by 5 feet is annoying.

LIKED: Great looking geomorphic tiles.

DISLIKED: Rooms being off the standard 10' grid.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied

[THIS REVIEW WAS EDITED]
The Dungeon Under the Mountain, Level 2
Publisher: 0one Games
by Walter J. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 09/16/2005 00:00:00

This is a nicely done huge dungeon map. Obiously based on the Ruins of Undermoutain concept. There is no story or monsters just the map with certain area numbered. You have the flexibility to turn the existing numbers off it you want.

I gave this map a lower rating than the first level. I did this because I didn't like the fewer large rooms on this level compared to the first map. Still, a very worthwhile buy.

LIKED: Ability to cut on and off room numbers and furnature. I love the size of the level.

DISLIKED: I not a crazy about the huge rooms and long repetive corridors on this level. I took a star off because of them.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
(Aid) SRD 3.5 Revised (Full) Bundle

I'm not a big fan of electronic aids because I don't like dragging my laptop to a game. However, if you are going to drag a computer to a game or like me you have an online game - this is a great bundle. Why spend money when you can get the SRD for free?

Because you can find stuff in this product. The bookmarks are awesome. Let me say again - the bookmarks are the reason you should buy this. You can find any spell in three clicks from the main index. As others have mentioned, you can also cut and paste from the bundle into your adventures when you are preparing.

LIKED: BOOKMARKS are great!

DISLIKED: Art sucked. Not important to me in a referance, but I think it would have been a nicer product if they just left it out all togeather instead of using what they did.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
I liked this product. For the price you get a sea side citadel. This is a great time saver when you don't have time to do a map. I've become a fan of the Blueprints Line and plan to get all of them eventually.

This is a good deal for those looking for some empty dungeon maps. You get five levels or different dungeons for the price of one!

LIKED: I like getting 5 different levels. I could use them all togeather or seperately. The different levels are around 30 rooms - just right for a night of gaming. The ability to cut off "fill" is nice on the printer too.

DISLIKED: Nothing.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
