If you're like me and looking for a Monster Manual style standalone book for your BX game with all the classic monsters THIS IS NOT IT. Nearly none of the classics are in here. The number of Monsters claimed in the description includes 3 or more versions of each listed (such as adult, larval, and queen Yada Yada) there are very few actual things you want. You're still better off just using the stuff included with your game rules.

Like so many of the offerings Goblin's Henchman has on dtrpg, this piece of work is simple, highly imaginative, useful, & costs (almost) nothing. Great stuff!

Good quality scan. Classic old school goofiness. Overall well worth the low low price .

So fun. So much color. Really one of the best spell books I've seen , and I have ~10.

Scan could be better . Campaign is not as cool as you might think , even considering that it is basically just Greyhawk 1.5

Cool module compilation. Offers some nice tie-together campaign options. Lots of potential play. Scan is acceptable, not great.

A pretty cool module, but I think it's price may be based more on its fame & the cost of a color copy job than anything. Just got D1-2 & S4 also. Better modules with larger page count for similar pricing. As a classic of gonzo modules, though, I'd give the content a 4/5.

Having read a great many glowing reviews of this creative, Non-vancian spell system had me very excited. $20 is more than I typically spend on a soft cover RPG supplement, so I put it on a wishlist for a long time. One night, working some overtime hours, I figured I earned it.

To be entirely fair will require me to judge content separately from bang for bucks.

Content is super. The ideas are neat . The translation of old standard D&D spells into vague & mutated versions of themselves makes them feel entirely fresh and new . The art perfectly suits the feel of the text. Five stars for content.

The value, sadly, is another story. The pages are more along the lines of a paperback size than a digest. There are merely 84 pages. The layout is very easy to peruse, but consequently the font is large enough that you get even less content than you might expect. No stars for value.

This review is meant in no way to deter buyers, rather to be clear what you are buying, as I was a bit surprised and disappointed by how little volume there was.

I'd still probably give at least 3 stars , but I can't get the website to let me change # of stars.

Very nice for this aadventure to be available at a less-than-ridiculous price. BUT the scan and print quality are horrendous. I bought a printed copy because it is usually more pleasant to read. Unfortunately, the poor quality makes this strenuous to be .

The ideas in this publication are indispensable. So good, & so seamless in compatibility that LaTorra should consider putting it into a 2nd edition of DW. The only drawback is that the hardcopy is just slightly better quality than a reader's digest.
