Are you an "Alice In Wonderland" fan? Does the poem "Jabberwocky" just set your mood to "grandiose?" Can I possibly squeeze in more "quotation marks" in a review? If the answer is "YES!" to any of these soul-piercing questions, then THIS IS THE GAMING SUPPLEMENT YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!! Seriously, this thing makes no sense relative to anything but itself, but WOW does it have internal consistency! If you like wild, imaginative things, this is for you. If you liked the two tweaker alines in the 1981 movie "Heavy Metal," this is for you. And if you have a little extra change, please use it to buy this for maybe 50 cents or maybe a dollar. It is wholly worth it. It would be great if us customers could make it at least a Copper Seller.

This is one of the cooler things I've discovered in quite a while. The idea of the Prestige Race is one I haven't personally seen before (although they may be out there.) As an example of how such can be handled, it is quite an inspiration to my own creativity.

As with all of Avalon's products, this has great graphics and easy assembly. Definitely a good way to introduce oneself to their product line.

Every so often a paper kit comes along that simply raises the bar for everything else. This is one of those kits.As a bit of background, I am a veteran papercarfter and avid wargamer. I have gone from just building paper mode;s to designing and publishing my own. I game both historical and fantasy Japanese ranging from the 15th century to the modern era, and this set of boats and ships easily covers everythung I need up until the advent of motorized power. It scales perfectly with my 28mm miniature collection. The textures are spot-on, and the thing assembles like a dream. The use of layers for different colors and weathering allows some variety between the different vessels one might build, which in my opinion is very important.
I highly recommend this kit!

What did I just read?
Seriously.
This is '80s-era Heavy Metal magazine meets Salvador Dali.
If you are over 18, go read this.
NOW.

Ok, so I actually played this. My Knight died in the second pass. Really, the rules are more fun to read than to actually play. But it is a great game to play alone while, say, in a motel room with the in-laws waiting for everyone to get ready to go out for lunch. I highly HIGHLY recommend this game!

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate knight, but glad to hear you had fun anyway! |

This is a perfect kit. Everything went together perfectly. Another kit in the set had a sizing issue with the roof, but this one was an absolute perfect fit. The texture layers printed well and give the option for plenty of different gallic areas. I love it.

This is an awesome little kit. The textures and the layers are lovely. The roof piece needs to be 5%-10% bigger, it is just a little small (no problem whatsoever if you are proficient with Phtotshop or GIMP.) I can't wait to get onto building the rest of the Gallic Village!

This is an awesome little kit. If you have an graphics processing program such as Photoshop or GIMP, it is easy to make little tweaks here and there to customize each boat. I created distressed sails for a "ghost harbor" look, it worked out very well.
I highly recommend this product!

Every so often, you come across an idea so brilliant, so clever, so you that you wonder why you didn't think of EXACTLY this years ago. This is one of those ideas. Literally, Puss In Boots re-imagined as a player character class for Swords & Wizardry. Not a human-sized, scaled up cat, no sirree. A cat-sized cat. With cap, cape, a dagger, and of course boots.
Absolutely brilliant.

This is a neat idea, although it seems more of something that can (and should) be accomplished through clever roleplaying rather than needing a class of it's own to get it done. However, it is a great jumpstart for ideas that can include both player characters and NPCs.

This hit my funny spot. It might make for an excellent party game amongst drunk or possibly stoned gamers without ability to play anything complicated, although the scorekeeping system could prove problematic depending on the levels of impairment involved. Yes, a one-page game of silliness involving stuff pulled out of your pocket has a scoring system. I highly recommend this product for at least reading, even if it is never played.

Thank you for reviewing the game, Harry!
If your players are too inebriated to count Doozies, I would recommend videotaping their answers, because although they\'ll be hysterical, they probably won\'t remember them later. In addition, you may wish to use poker chips, pennies, or some other kind of tokens to represent points. This will also give them something to do with their hands. Their grubby, uncoordinated, twitchy little hands. |

Another awesome set from Arion. Just the thing to spice up those town adventures or tavern brawls without shelling out a ton of dough and time for miniatures :)

This is a quick, easy kit. I was disappointed that they provided a "blank" to add your own colors, logos, etc. to, but the file is locked so you cannot open it in a graphics program to alter it. My backdoor to that was to print it at 200% and then scan the copy, thereby giving me the basic pattern to work from. Overall a good value, if a little bland in the two color jobs they provide.

This is a very straightforward cardstock kit. I built mine for 15mm, but used the 20mm scaled pieces. But novice cardstockers beware: this is a very labor-intensive kit. I have spent the better part of two nights putting together six shacks. It all goes together easily enough, but it takes a lot of time.
