A reasonable enough introduction to the ruleset marred by a high number of errors and omissions, and a atrocisouly-edited, dull starting adventure.
The tone of most of the book is that of a tutorial, leading the reader through the basics of the W.O.I.N. ruleset. It's a decent introduction to the system, and is easy to understand,
The sample adventure is poor, with a map that makes little sense, and which doesn't match the text of the adventure. Secret doors abound on the map, but don't play a role. Rooms that should be connected aren't. Some rooms called out in the text simply don't exist. Although the starter kit takes special pains to mention the tactical nature of combat in W.O.I.N., every room is an emtpy rectangle, and little attention is paid to enplaining how W.O.I.N. is supposed to run outside of combat. A sloppy way to introduce players to the system.
